This is irresponsible journalism. The vaccines make it much less likely to catch the virus, and much less likely to get symptomatic Covid. But they aren't magic. Some people will still get sick, and it's not news when they do. nypost.com/2021/04/11/nj-… 
In this case, the sick person had the J&J shot on 6 March and had symptoms on 1 April. He would have contracted the virus even earlier. That's less than the 4 weeks for the vaccine to be considered 'fully effective' in its own terms.
Once a country has vaccinated millions of people, you see infections among the vaccinated. In Israel, 22% of the serious Covid-19 cases in hospital were vaccinated. But the other 78% come from the 15% of the adult population that's still unprotected.
(Even that 22% includes many people who contracted the virus not long after their second shot)
Vaccines seem to be massively cutting infection and transmission of the coronavirus, so the total number of cases is plummeting too. They're amazing. They'll save us and turn Covid into a manageable disease. But some people will still get sick and it's not news when they do.
