@POTUS Sir, I think it's time we take advantage of all our electronic surveillance capability and actually have more cameras in our nation. I also think we need to rely on those and not on police officers to gather traffic violations. I think police officers should be
limited to responding to violent crimes only. No more killing people over traffic violations. Our nation is awash in blood due to trigger happy officers who appear to be on power trips eager to pounce on anyone for anything. It's time we narrow the field of responses and rework
the police force entirely. Millions and millions of dollars are paid to grieving families which does not bring back their loved ones and actually punishes the people who have to pay taxes for the police in the first place. This is insane. Let's use those millions to open new
agencies, some designed to deal with mental health issues and crisis and others to use the infrastructure we have to collect fines and therefore punish offenders financially. We DO NOT need to have police killing people over jay walking, using a fake bill or any other non-violent
crime. Enough is enough and we have to understand that people are sick to death of being slaughtered, especially black and brown and "other" races, and whites too. If the officers are so afraid of their jobs, they should not choose the police force at all. And what if our
military members were so afraid to do their jobs they kill innocent people due to fear of them? We cannot allow this situation to remain static. The police are supposed to be intended to protect and serve, not stalk and slaughter. I understand though that the first police force
was formed to "round up" runaway slaves. An inauspicious beginning. It's 2021 and it's time to evolve. Police officers should also be located in the districts they police so they become a part of the community. I think we have to have much more stringent requirements and mental
evaluations before one can become a police officer. And obviously all information should be available to all agencies so no one can skip from town to town leaving a trail of bodies behind. Or a trail of unnecessary violence and unacceptable behavior either. Let's pay our police
well, and hold them accountable for their own actions. I don't want to punish good officers, I want to reward them. I want to be proud of them, not afraid of them. I want change. We deserve change, and we are willing to get into "good trouble" to get it. Thank You for your time.
