there's a flood of tweets saying Gujarat wasted money on SOU, it should have more hospitals. there are no beds available, govt needs better healthcare planning etc.
well, let's see what we did and what could have been done differently:

SOU was inaugurated in 2018, the tender and building started much before that obviously! so no one knew about a pandemic in that period. also the SOU was built by L&T, possibly the best in infrastructure industry all over the world,so no question of quality here.

this project gave livelihood to thousands and is continuously generating the revenue which will soon surpass the expenses done. it's a major tourist attraction.

now coming back to hospitals, when was the last time before pandemic, did you go to some hospital and you were told that "sorry we are full!"???

the current situation is something nobody predicted! no amount of healthcare planning would have suffice for this.

first wave took us all by surprise, but not getting prepared for the second wave was our mistake.
not taking the "MASKS" and "DISTANCING". seriously was our mistake.

vaccine hesitation, election rallies, wedding functions, religious gatherings and unrestricted use of malls, bazaars, multiplex, gyms,pools and closed spaces was our mistake.

there's still a BIG FAT CHANCE that this wave will subside slowly and then god forbid, we will face wave 3!
but there's no end to the idiocy these covidots are showering!
what happens to these 100 hospitals when there's normal situation?

which country could contain this virus effectively with excellent healthcare system? (don't name those with population size of Gujarat!)

there's only one vaccine,one remedy one cure to this and its the MASK. which we have terribly failed at!
i know few doctors who practically live in face of covid and yet only the mask has saved them totally. so if they are telling, we must follow.

વગરકામનું બાર ફરશે તો કદાચ તું ઘરે પાછો નઈ આવે..
જાગૃત થા , જાગૃત કર.

5-10 દી ફક્ત ઘર માં ફર,
તારા દોસ્ત ને કે તું પણ કર,

દુનિયામાં પ્રસરેલી એ કોરોના ચેન ને તું તોડ..
ભગાડી એને તું પછી મોજ માં ફર..

પણ અત્યારે તો તું બસ ઘરમાં ફર...
દોસ્ત તું જાગૃત થા ને સૌ ને જાગૃત કર...!!
