Last night was a big quarterly FEC filing deadline for political campaigns.
We took a look at the Q1 fundraising numbers to see who came out on top on both sides of the aisle 👇
The four most vulnerable Senate Dems are starting off the year with healthy fundraising.
Raphael Warnock, Mark Kelly, Maggie Hassan and Catherine Cortez Masto each raised more than $2M in Q1, and all four have more than $4.3M in the bank, reports @JamesArkin.
Meanwhile, potential Republican 2024 presidential hopefuls are posting seven-figure Q1 numbers – especially the ones who led efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
Josh Halwey raised nearly $600K in the 2.5 weeks after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, despite temporarily stopping his fundraising outreach.
That represents a massive increase for him compared to Q1 of the last election cycle. politi.co/3uLfxGW
Most House Republicans who objected to the certification of Biden’s victory saw an increase in small-dollar fundraising in Q1 of 2021 (compared to Q1 2019).
These helped offset the losses from corporate PACs that vowed to stop giving to their campaigns. politi.co/3dnYl49
Marjorie Taylor Greene was one of the most prolific fundraisers among the Republicans who voted to overturn the 2020 election results.
She raised more than $3.2M in Q1, and her campaign said she had 100K+ individual donors. politi.co/3dnYl49
