The Conference on the Future of Europe starts on Monday with the launch of the multilingual digital platform. Its delay had one positive effect: more time to develop an unprecedented toolbox for citizens’ participation! Discover below what there is in this box #TheFutureIsYours
We have worked for months to integrate into the Europa online multilingual environment a civic tech tool (decidim) to allow people from across the EU to share ideas, endorse and comments other people’s ideas. This will allow a direct transnational dialogue between 🇪🇺 citizens.
This digital platform is also the main hub of the Conference: the place where you will find info, see all events taking place and decide to participate, and also where you can register your own event, helped by toolkits on participatory and inclusive formats.
Reporting ideas on this platform will be key because we have also developed a link with an analytical tool run by @EU_ScienceHub to be able to provide with rigueur and transparency a faithful picture of what is said on the platform, that will be available in public reports.
These reports will, in particular, feed into the work of the Conference Plenary and of the EU Citizens’ Panels. I will come back later on the panels. Citizens’ assemblies have happened at local and national level for years. Much less at EU level. Unprecedented and promising!
