A group of approx. 50 demonstrators has gathered at the Capitol. On social media, demonstrators have promoted “Black Bloc tactics” including storing items at potential hotspots for tonight’s event.
A group of approx. 50 demonstrators has gathered at the Capitol. On social media, demonstrators have promoted “Black Bloc tactics” including storing items at potential hotspots for tonight’s event.
Officers have located at least one duffel bag filled with rocks outside of a government building. Heavy police presence in the area as officers monitor the demonstration.

Demonstrators have begun to march. Rolling road closures are in effect. There may be traffic delays as this progresses. Use alternate routes if possible. Officers continue to monitor.
Group dressed in black. Some wearing helmets and have shields. One individual from the group has been observed with a lit flare. 
Some incidents of vandalism have been observed. Individuals from the group have thrown rocks at officers as they march. Unlawful assembly announcements are being made to the group.
Group is stationary in the roadway in the area of 20th St / K St. Please use alternate routes. Police continue to monitor the protest.
The group is marching again. Rolling road closures are still in effect.
Group has dispersed.
At this time, we have 2 reports of vandalism that occurred. 4 officers were transported to a local hospital for inj resulting from being sprayed with an unk liquid irritant. No arrests made, however investigators are following up on these incidents.
