[APAPA, EKO BRIDGE, TINCAN ISSUES]: INSPECTION OF ONGOING ROAD CONSTRUCTION WORKS AT LIVERPOOL UNDER BRIDGE, TIN CAN PORT 2ND GATE AND SUNRISE ALONG THE APAPA - MILE 2 EXPRESSWAY BY THE NPA, PORT STAKEHOLDERS AND LAGOS TASKFORCE TEAM
1. It was resolved that NPA is to make a public statement to clear the impression by stakeholders that Eto is not working. This was done yesterday by @nigerianports: 👇🏾👇🏾
2. In order to clear the backlog of trucks created by the picketing of APMT by MWUN, it was decided that the Eto system be temporarily shut down for 24 hours. As such, new bookings and merging of tickets will be put on hold immediately.
3. To ensure seamless flow of traffic in Apapa area & TinCan - Mile 2 axis. The need to URGENTLY open up TinCan - Mile 2 corridor was identified, LASG Enforcement & NPA team are to deploy personnel and logistics to create a corridor for TinCan bound trucks on Sunday 18th 04 2021.
4. Henceforth, all TinCan Island Port bound container laden trucks will not be allowed to pass along Apapa corridor, they are to follow TinCan - Mile 2 corridor ... IMMEDIATELY
6. To enhance enforcement capability, security personnel will be deployed to reinforce access points such as Ijora Olopa, Ijora SIFAX and Sunrise for better control.
7. The AGM Operations is to call for a meeting with all holding bays and satellite parks operators intimate them on bookings and movement schedules on Wednesday 21st 04 2021.

UPDATE: The Police Operatives attached to Sagamu Road Division, Ikorodu, Lagos State, on 15th April, 2021, at about 1210am, arrested one Rasheed Isiaka, M, 40, of No 4, Olowonisaye Street, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The suspect, who has been alleged of perpetrating many crimes in the entire Ikorodu area, has been placed under surveillance due to the intelligence gathered on him before he was evetually arrested.
Items recovered from him include two (2) locally-made pistols, one laptop, two suspected stolen Bajaj Motorcycles, two knives and some assorted charms.

Today Thursday, 15th April 2021, Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu performed the Groundbreaking Ceremony and commencement of Civil Works for the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Red Line Project.
The Red Line Rail Project is a 37km rail route from Marina to Agbado to be implemented in Phases, First Phase will be from Oyingbo to Agbado, to share tracks with NRC on the Lagos Ibadan Rail.
On the completion of the Phase1 of the project, It is expected to run 37 trips daily which is about 450,000 passengers Daily, The NRC will also run a maximum of 16hours a day between Lagos and Ibadan.
