Congrats to @michaeldweiss & @JettGoldsmith, the new repositories for propaganda whitewashing OPCW's Syria cover-up.

After @Bellingcat got Bellingcaught, @newlinesmag (SpookLies) & @thedailybeast (The Daily CIA Brief) are understandable sloppy-seconds.

Alas, you're too sloppy.
Your "deep-dive" has deep lies.

You claim that Berlin Group 21 (BG21) -- eminent voices behind the Statement of Concern (SoC) on OPCW cover-up -- are a "front" for the Working Group (WG), a UK academic collective. You also claim WG "released" SoC in BG21's name.

Both lies.
Berlin Group 21 has just corrected you: berlingroup21.org/statement

Why isn't this in your article? Because *you didn't contact them for comment* before publishing your lie that they are a "front organization."

And that's because you propagandists are a front for a whitewash.
You accused Berlin Group 21 & their Statement of Concern of being a "front" *without contacting them.*

Their email and contact form is on their website.

Don't pretend that you tried. Your article says you contacted others -- everyone but the people you slandered as a "front."
Let's look at who Berlin Group 21 really is, to fully grasp what moronic propagandists @michaeldweiss & @JettGoldsmith are.

These two hacks want us to believe that this eminent group -- including FIVE ex-OPCW officials -- are really just a "front" for a few UK academics.😂
All they have for their conspiracy theory that these eminent voices are a "front" is a fragment of an email by WG member Paul McGeigue.

No evidence here of a "front." And Paul was either embellishing or misinformed: Piers was (somewhat) involved, but didn't "coordinate."
This is again why @JettGoldsmith & @michaeldweiss did not contact any of the people they're accusing of being involved in a "front."

Instead of contacting the actual people they're targeting -- aka, doing basic journalism -- they ran their conspiracy theory.

Which makes them:
Now let's turn to their targeting of the OPCW whistleblowers.

Here are some of the most important errors.
@JettGoldsmith & @michaeldweiss are clueless about Douma probe, starting w/ its timeline.

They claim that after Wikileaks released Douma docs in Oct.-Nov. 2019, "OPCW later released its final report."

In reality, that report came out in March 2019 -- months before Wikileaks.
As for their claim that OPCW whistleblower Brendan Whelan "coordinated with WikiLeaks to leak a set of internal OPCW documents," they're entitled to believe that, but they have no idea if that's true.
What is hilarious is their attempt to minimize Whelan's role in the Douma probe. They describe him as a mere "former staff member of the OPCW"; "OPCW employee"; "internal critic."

Whelan was in fact the Douma mission's scientific coordinator and author of its original report.
OPCW exec wrote that Whelan "has contributed the most to the knowledge & understanding of [Chemical Weapons] chemistry applied to inspections" & praised his "character & strong values."

@michaeldweiss & @JettGoldsmith, lacking the latter, missed this. (thegrayzone.com/2020/12/07/opc…)
In their attempts to attack Whelan, @michaeldweiss & @JettGoldsmith parrot OPCW's claim that "the bulk of its analytical work" on Douma came after Whelan left.

Funny you should mention it. I just did a presentation at the UN exposing that claim as a lie: thegrayzone.com/2021/04/18/at-…
Now let me to express my disappointment in @JettGoldsmith. This twerp told me that his "next drop" would have "some very compromising info about you and your activities." He also vowed that I'd be "receiving a formal request for comment."

Didn't happen. I guess he dropped it.
BTW, why did @MichaelDWeiss @JettGoldsmith publish two parts of their "investigation" in two outlets -- @newlinesmag & @thedailybeast -- on one day?

@thedailybeast got the palatable smears.

@newlinesmag, run by a shady org, got the "detailed analysis" -- i.e. malicious lies.

On Friday, I spoke to the UN Security Council about the OPCW's Syria cover-up.

I gave a presentation debunking the OPCW's key lies about the scandal, & confronted the US & UK about their obstructive role.

Full video: via @TheGrayzoneNews @PushbackShow
I opened with a summary of the OPCW's Syria scandal: OPCW inspectors found no evidence of a Syrian government chemical weapons attack in the city of Douma in April 2018. But their findings were doctored and suppressed, and the entire team was sidelined:
On top of the censorship, a US delegation pressured the Douma team to back US claims of a chemical attack (its pretext for bombing Syria in April 2018).

OPCW has since attacked the dissenters; & US-UK state-funded media actors Bellingcat & BBC have been leaked disinformation:

I spoke to the UN Security Council on Friday about the OPCW's Syria cover-up.

I asked @USUN & @AmbassadorAllen of UK if they'll accept a proposal to let the OPCW's Scientific Advisory Board assess the dispute over the Douma probe & meet the dissenting inspectors:
By the time @USUN & @AmbassadorAllen could answer, they were no longer in the meeting. (I'm not sure at what point they left, possibly before my question though I doubt it).

I hope they answer. If there's nothing to hide, why not let the OPCW's own scientists resolve the issue?
I also responded to a bizarre new claim by OPCW chief Arias in response to questions from @wallacemick & @ClareDalyMEP. ()

Arias said "I don't know why" the OPCW's final Douma report "was contested."

That's demonstrably false, by his own prior statements:

.@IgnatiusPost reports that Kash Patel -- a former senior US official & House Intel staffer who helped expose intelligence malpractice in the Russiagate probe -- is now facing DOJ investigation for "possible improper disclosure of classified information." washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/…
Nature of the probe is unclear. Given the serious intel malfeasance & major evidentiary holes that Patel helped expose in the Trump-Russia probe, I have to wonder if this politically motivated retaliation. It's curious that there are no details on what he's being eyed for.
As WP article notes, Patel did a rare, extensive interview with me this year about his work investigating Russiagate.

This extremist crank from Bellingcat — a guy so corrupt & sloppy that I exposed a hidden author writing his propaganda — is right about one thing: I’m testifying Friday to the UN Security Council on the Syria cover-up, along w/ two distinguished speakers.
Here’s what I’m talking about re: hidden author writing scam material for Nick Waters of NATO troll farm Bellingcat. thegrayzone.com/2021/03/24/aut…

#Bellingcaught - I never tire of saying it.
The UNSC meeting starts at 10am ET. I’ll post link here right before.

If you need any more proof that the @OPCW censored its Syria chemical weapons probe & covered it up, watch what unfolded at @Europarl_EN today.

OPCW chief Fernando Arias was asked critical questions, including whether he will meet the dissenting investigators. He didn't answer.
.@wallacemick of Ireland asked OPCW chief Arias whether he will account for the scientific fraud in the Douma investigation and why he's refused to meet the dissenting inspectors. Wallace was interrupted by the chair, and Arias refused to answer:
.@ClareDalyMEP of Ireland also asked OPCW chief Fernando Arias if he will meet with the dissenting inspectors who carried out the Douma investigation.

She raises a very key point: if the OPCW has nothing to hide and stand by its claims, why won't it meet its own scientists?

It's been real, king. ✊🏼
We'll always have that time when -- just as OPCW's Syria cover-up was exposed -- Bellingcat quietly deleted a claim that it "partners" w/ OPCW, & @EliotHiggins tried to claim that the "partner" thing was a simply a lowly "copy and paste" error. 🤔
We'll also always have that time when Bellingcat was given an unsent, fraudulent OPCW letter, & then Eliot and gang tried to accuse me of concealing a letter that I couldn't have possibly received (oh and that also contained demonstrably false claims).
