My Take on #IStandWithRayFisher /// A Thread:
@djairrick @Pagmyst @andysignore

This will be a long one, get prepared. In July 2020, when @ray8fisher came out with a tweet stating that he retracts every bit of his statement about Joss Whedon, and stated that he was abusive on..
...set, my interest was peaked and I was willing to listen. Without evidence nor specifics, I was not willing to blindly support him and completely disregard the other parties involved because they could be completely innocent, but was not always willing to blindly support the...
.....accused as Fisher may have been telling nothing but the truth. So I tried to keep my opinion on this matter as objective as possible and did not share my opinion until I had waited for more information to arise and form my opinion then. Since then, a lot of information....
....has come out and we now know what Ray is fighting for. Every time a new tweet by Ray had come out, I waited for the other party to respond and more evidence to come out regarding this, but neither never did. Ray had stated he did a private investigation....
....with WarnerMedia with other parties involved, specifically highlighting the supposed abuse he suffered on set, but never disclosed in detail this in public. This all culminated in a supposed "tell-all article" released by The Hollywood Reporter on April 6, where we finally...
....heard the opposition's point of view and clarified inconsistencies in Ray's tweets, such as whether or not Walter Hamada interfered with the investigation. As many of you know if you were following me, I and tweeted about how I stand with him....
....due to this article and how it supposedly was something revolutionary. The more I think about it, the more I realise - this was me just jumping on the bandwagon. This article was nothing new and did not specifics. Sure, Joss Whedon was an ass on set....
....This is nothing new. Gal Gadot, Charisma Carpenter and, if the leaks are true, Ben Affleck all had problems on set with him. I am in no way defending him, he is a bitch and should be held accountable. However, the line is drawn where he claims there were enablers.....
....Sure, Geoff Johns' excuses were weak. "i hAvE a blAcK wiFe tHeReFoRe kNoW tHE tRAumA bLaCk pEoPlE gO tHRoUgH". But what is to actually suggest he, and Walter Hamada, enabled Joss' behaviour and that he threatened Ray's CAREER?! "I just don't want you to make a bad name for...
...yourself in the business." That's a THREAT? If this is what he is complaining about, I don't know how bad what he is actually is stating happened to him is. Additionally, and don't quote me on this, but around 90% of the THR article is about creative differences....
...now I can't speak on behalf of the POC community as a white man myself, but having to say a catchphrase is not abuse in the slightest. All characters got reduced screen time, including his origin, and Ryan, Iris and Swanwick all got cut because their roles were useless...
....and shoe-horned in, especially due to the two hour mandate. And the fact that Cyborg won't be in The Flash movie? He doesn't have to be! It's a FLASH movie. And Ray HIMSELF said he wouldn't work with Hamada, and now is complaining because he can't....
....be in it due to no apology from Hamada. Stop moving the goalpost man! Everything he has also said about Hamada is all hear-say and assumptions ("Fisher says he was referring to the September statement that Fisher had refused to cooperate with the investigation, which he...
....feels Hamada must have known about in advance.") And he is also shifting goalposts, with him HIMSELF stating that remedial action had been taken, but now is still pissed off at Warner Brothers. And today, comparing his experience....
....of (mostly) creative differences about steroetypes (which he has a right to be pissed off about but not to this extent) to George Floyd being murdered, calling up the supposed "hypocrisy" of WB. This was the final straw. This infuriated me. And don't call....
....me a corporate shill, I tried. I genuinely tried to believe him. But I just cannot entirely. I just want to enjoy being a DC fan man, as long as actions have consequences. And with a third party investigation and him having his long overdue chance to convince me....
....but it's too late. I don't blindly support Geoff Johns but I will not attack him and support Ray Fisher, nor attack Fisher. I don't believe him entirely, but I won't be rude to him. I just want to move on, I'm sick of hearing about this. There's my take and thanks for...
.....coming this far. I ask you consider my perspective before attacking me, especially given I tried to be as polite and thorough as possible. I hope everything works out in the end, especially given that as an individual I can't do anything really....
...but we'll just have to see. Thank you again.
*Correction: I am aware Ray stated that Walter agreed Joss was an ass, but forgot that while writing this. Point still stands when it comes to Geoff and Walter supposedly defending him.
