@Hadithoftheday Before Eid Salah.
Zakat Al-Fitr is due before Eid prayer.
Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet ﷺ ordered it (Zakat-Al-Fitr) to be given before people go out for the Eid prayer. ( Bukhari 1503, Muslim 986)
@Hadithoftheday Zakat ul-Fitr, is an obligatory charitable donation all Muslims are required to make during Ramadan.
Zakat ul-Fitr is also called as Fitrana.

The Zakat ul-Fitr amount is calculated on the basis of the current price of a staple food, equivalent to a specific weight.
@Hadithoftheday Zakat al-fitr must be given on behalf of all Muslims, young and old, male and female, free and slave.
With regard to a foetus, it is not obligatory to give it on his behalf according to scholarly consensus, but it is mustahabb, because Uthman R.A did that.
@Hadithoftheday Zakat al-fitr becomes obligatory when the sun sets on the last day of Ramadan, and must be paid before the Eid prayer. It is permissible to pay it two or three days before that, if need be.
@Hadithoftheday It stems from the third pillar of Islam, Zakat, which refers to giving to charity in order to please Allah and become both a better Muslim and a better member of the community by giving to those less fortunate.
@Hadithoftheday Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ made it an obligation to pay charity at the end of Ramadan, a portion of dates or barely, upon the slave and the freeman, the male and female, the young and the old among the Muslims. +
@Hadithoftheday The Prophet ﷺ ordered it to be given before people go out for the Eid prayer. (Bukhari 1503)
@Hadithoftheday Narrated Ibn `Umar:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) made it incumbent on all the slave or free Muslims, male or female, to pay one Sa 'of dates or barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr. (1 Sa' = 3 kilograms approx)
@Hadithoftheday Abu Sa’id al-Khudri R.A reported: We would bring for Zakat al-Fitr a portion of good, or a portion of barley, or a portion of dates, or a portion of cheese, or a portion of raisins.

(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1435)
@Hadithoftheday Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah obligated Zakat al-Fitr as purification of the fasting person from vain talk and misbehavior, as food for the poor. +
@Hadithoftheday Whoever pays it before the Eid prayer, it is accepted as Zakat. Whoever pays it after the Eid prayer, it is part of voluntary charity.
(Sunan Abu Dawud 1609)
@Hadithoftheday Zakat al-fitr becomes obligatory when the sun sets on the last day of Ramadan, and must be paid before the Eid prayer. It is permissible to pay it two or three days before that, if need be.

@Hadithoftheday Taqwa (Piety).
Allah says in Qur'an:
“O You who believe! Fasting is prescribed upon you as it was prescribed on those before you so that you may attain Taqwa”  Qur'an – [2:183]
@Hadithoftheday Taqwa is consciousness of Allah.
Fasting is one of the best ways to attain Taqwa.
Taqwa, is a means of getting closer to Allah spiritually.
It strengthens a Muslim’s belief and enables him to become a better human being
@Hadithoftheday The purpose of fasting is not to make us hungry and thirsty, or to deprive us some of our comfort and conveniences. The real purpose of fasting is that we learn taqwa.
Taqwa is highly emphasized in the Qur’an and Sunnah. There are numerous verses in the Qur’an on taqwa

@Hadithoftheday No.
Narrated Abu Hurairah R.A:

The Prophet ﷺ said, "If somebody eats or drinks forgetfully then he should complete his fast, for what he has eaten or drunk, has been given to him by Allah." - (Sahih al-Bukhari 1933)
@Hadithoftheday Fast is still considered valid as long as you stop as soon as you realise. Our deen is so beautiful and easy.
@Hadithoftheday When a person unintentionally eats or drinks, the fast is still valid.
Allah says in Qur'an:

And there is no sin on you if you make a mistake therein, except in regard to what your hearts deliberately intend. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful [33:5]

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri R.A reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever fasts a day in the way of Allah, Allah will move his face away from the Hellfire by a distance of seventy years.”

(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī،, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
@Hadithoftheday The Fasting Person is far from Hell.
Narrated by Abu Hurayrah R.A, Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ said:

"Whoever fasts one day for the acceptance of Allah, Allah keeps his/her face seventy years away from Hell in return for this one day." (Nasai)
@Hadithoftheday Ramadan is the Salvation from Hell.
Narrated of Abu Darda R.A, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"Whoever fasts one day for the acceptance of Allah, on the Day of Resurrection, Allah creates a gap between him and Hell, as wide as the heavens and the earth."

Fasting is for Allah and he shall reward for it.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah R.A: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah said: ‘Every deed of the son of Adam is for him except fasting; it is for Me and I shall reward for it…’” (Sahih Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
@Hadithoftheday No one can see when a person is fasting except Allah, so Allah connected it to Himself.
Hence Allah says, “He gives up his desire for My sake.”.
All acts of worship can be seen when done, and they may be contaminated with some element of showing off, unlike fasting.
@Hadithoftheday Allah is the only One who knows the extent of reward & how much good deeds of a person will be multiplied
The amount of reward for good deeds may become known to people & they will be rewarded between ten & 700 fold except fasting, for Allah will reward it without measure

@Hadithoftheday Encouraged to break the fast as soon as Maghrib arrives.

Narrated from Sahl ibn Sa’d R.A, that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: “The people will continue to do well so long as they hasten to break the fast.” (Bukhari, Muslim)
@Hadithoftheday Aisha R.A was asked about a man among the companions of Muhammad ﷺ – ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood – who hastened to pray Maghrib and break the fast. She said: This is what the Messenger of Allah used to do. (Muslim)
