Sachin missed on becoming the youngest test centurion by just 12 runs in 1990 vs NZ.He was caught in mid off while playing a drive by then NZ skipper & future Indian coach,John Wright.Years latter Sachin jokingly told John that he really shouldn't have taken the catch!

When Steve Waugh tried to sledge an 18 yr old Sachin in a practice game (against NSW) during his 1st tour of Aus,he responded by saying that,"if you want to fight with me,you 1st need to get into the AUS team" rubbing salt on the wounds of Waugh who was dropped for the series

It was Sachin's idea that he should take the Pepsi bottle from @iamsrk & force him to go out & bat in his place in this viral ad for Pepsi during the 1999 World Cup.
No doubt Sachin is still among top 3 cricketers with the highest brand value !

SRT had given his MoM award watch which he'd received for his brilliant innings of 98 vs🇵🇰 in 2003 WC,to a friend who had mistakenly left the bag containing it in a Chinese food stall,where he went after the match
Luckily a old lady had kept it safe & returned it to him later !

Sachin had played the entire 2003 World Cup with an injured index finger & then headed to US to get it operated.He was so worried that the doctors would cut open his palm which could affect his grip,that he woke up during the surgery to check,despite being under anaesthesia !

Sachin started wearing a floppy white hat to protect his face against the sun after he had a very bad allergic reaction to a newly launched moisturising cream that he & Harbhajan bought,during the 2007-08 tour of Australia,which caused his face to become red & swollen !

After the 2007 WC debacle,Sachin was in a bad state,wasn't enjoying cricket & even contemplated retirement. Out of blue his childhood idol Vivian Richards called him from WI & assured that there was a lot of cricket left in him & insisted that he shouldn't think about retiring !

Sachin "Ten"dulkar with jersey number 10 played his only T20I which was the 10th ever T20I in the history of cricket & scored 10 runs in it !

Sachin played along a staggering 989 cricketers in international cricket,out of which 141 were his teammates & 848 his opponents,which itself is a world record !
He holds 19 such records in Guinness Book & is the only cricketer to win an individual Laureus Sports Award !

For his 200th test match,Sachin had requested his sponsors Adidas to design tricolour stickers & grips, which arrived on the eve of the game. As he didn't want anyone to see them before he went out to bat,he borrowed Rohit Sharma's bag to take all the bats & stickers to his room

This was the note Sachin had prepared to thank all who stood by him over the years,in his farewell speech. He wrote everything,as on a previous such occasion he had forgotten to thank his wife & had to be reminded by commentator @bhogleharsha !

After India had won the test,it was Virat Kohli who went up to him & reminded him about going out to pay his respect to the pitch.
Virat also touched Sachin's feet before handing out the good luck threads (his dad had given to him) to Sachin
