I love being back in Brooklyn, overhearing a cell phone conversation that begins "YO YOU PIECE A SHIT WHAT HAPPENED" and realizing this gentleman is congraulating his friend on having a baby since they've last spoken
"WHAT THE FUCK BRO NICE WELCOME TO THE CLUB" he's currently hollering, as another friend has emerged to yell "CONGRATULATIONS' enthusiastically into the phone as well
"WHO'S THE MOM" ok I'm going to stop live-tweeting but my interest is PIQUED
He's hung up and now him and his other well-wishing friend are agreeing that "the shot" was not that bad and "I'm not dead," as one of them put it, philosophically. You heard it here first!

New from me: legislators in at least five states have introduced a COVID "Vaccine Bill of Rights" at the state level, a supremely wild document based on model legislation first written by the controversial group America's Frontline Doctors. vice.com/en/article/epn…
I also wrote about the ways that anti-vaccine activists have spent the pandemic working at the state level: wooing legislators, attending conferences, fearmongering on a more local level. It's working.
The Frontline Doctors, of course, are seared into the collective memory because Dr. Stella Immanuel spoke at one of their early press conferences. As @willsommer reported, she likes to talk about the medical problems caused by alien DNA and demon sperm. thedailybeast.com/stella-immanue…

Q fans are not surprisingly declaring that they’ll remain unvaccinated to own the libs
It’s not just Q folks though- I very gently commented on a thread of folks fearmongering about the J+J vaccine and now this guy wants me to know that because of the “fandom culture” of dumb bitches like me for he’s OUT
Some of these guys are literally going to risk severe illness and death to feel like they’re spiting someone they don’t like, which.... okay bud

I got vaccinated yesterday. I am so relieved. for my fellow asthmatics, it WAS one of the conditions asked about when I made my appointment. Meanwhile globally we are still totally fucked because of greed and shortsightedness! nytimes.com/2021/03/21/wor…
Here’s how I got an appointment: I signed up for CarbonHealth, which lists appointments for max vax sites here in LA. At like 1:07 yesterday an appointment popped up for 1:10, clearly a cancellation. If you need to get yourself or an elder vaxxed, it pays to refresh that site
But as relieved as I personally am, like, if we don’t force these companies to share the vaccine recipe and start mass producing for every country, it’s going to be meaningless in like two months. Why are we doing this to ourselves!!!
