(1/4) The CDC messaging has been absolutely pathetic regarding what vaccinated people can do.
Our #1 goal should be getting as many people as possible vaccinated quickly. Let’s crush the pandemic and go back to normal ASAP. CDC’s latest statement is discouraging in that regard.
(2/4) CDC using rhetoric like “can” and “allowed” is just gonna enrage people who are vaccine hesitant. Most vaccine hesitant folks also happen to not like hearing from the feds about what they can and can’t do. Using words like “recommend” instead would be way more encouraging.
(3/4) MOST PEOPLE ALREADY WALK AROUND OUTSIDE WITHOUT MASKS. Saying that’s something vaxxed people can do safely now is no incentive whatsoever. Tell everyone bars, restaurants, concerts, etc. are safe for vaxxed people. (They most likely are!)
(4/4) Yes, the vaccine does not 100% prevent getting or spreading COVID, but the odds become incredibly low. Low enough to where nobody would bat an eye at the risk if COVID wasn’t already a thing. Saying vaccinated people can resume normal life would have a massive net + effect.
Bonus message: I’m sure many of y’all disagree and perhaps your priority is being extra cautious while the pandemic still rages. However, I firmly believe that convincing people to get vaccinated, even if it means taking slightly greater risks now, is the best approach.

We did it everyone! The AL West standings now spell “ASSHAT”
I uploaded some cool ass tornado videos yesterday but instead some joke about butts that I didn’t even come up with goes viral smh
If my maths are right, there’s a 0.833% probability that the AL West spells ASSHAT if the teams are arranged randomly. This “randomly” does not account for the Mariners being nowhere near 2nd place most of the time. Enjoy this truly rare moment while it lasts.
