1/ New piece by @Blyth_Crawford and I on our series about QAnon and women, this time we examine the women who ran for office in 2020.
2/ As @AlKapDC extensively covered in his monitoring of QAnon candidates, 38% of QAnon candidates were women. 42% of these made it on the ballot. What this means is that out of the record 94 women who ran for congress 14% espoused some belief in QAnon
3/ These statistics are very important as @Blyth_Crawford and I highlight women are not only underrepresented in politics, but their role in extremists movements is still perceived through a gender biased lens.
4/ Women are playing key influential and leadership roles in various extremist movements. QAnon has a large amount of female influencers and leaders. Research and analysis needs to move beyond poor and antiquated gender analysis of extremism.
5/ Child abuse narratives play an important role in QAnon as it is the central concept that has mobilized adherents to protests, violence and to run for political office.
6/ Not everyone who ran for office was a QAnon adherent, some individuals saw QAnon as a political constituency who they could prey on to achieve their political goals.
7/ However, those who are believers, have plans to run in 2022, emboldened by the success of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert.
8/ Part 2 comes out tomorrow as we examine how some women have been able to launch a career off of their belief in QAnon.

Not sure what his point is here, or his intention, but I can say that this will resonate with QAnon adherents. "Follow the White Rabbit" was an explicit early QAnon reference at the start of the movement.
In analysis of early QAnon data on Twitter, we see that the hashtag was used in 2017 during the inception of the movement.
Key point here is how, QAnon influencer, who have been integrating Elon more and more into their conspiracy theory narratives, are going to use this as another marker to indicate that Musk is communicating with them, the same way they did with Trump while he was president.

It is important to note that we continue to see more and more evidence about the importance of the ecosystem and the networks that makes it up in radicalizing and mobilizing individuals to violence.
This 19 year old created propaganda, in September 2021 & march 2022 which likely inspired the Buffalo shooter, as screencaps from the 19year old made it in the Buffalo shooters manifesto & diary. In Turn the Buffalo shootter in turn inspired the Bratislava attacker to mobilize.
These networks and ecosystems are not ideologically unified, but a collection of disparate & conflicting projects. Some grasp the most powerful offices in the world, others fester on fringe online platforms, others organize street demonstrations, and some carry out mass murders.

In an interesting turn of events, a network of neo-fascist accelerationists had been moving digital assets to TamTam, in light of Telegrams continued efforts to shutdown their channels; however, this morning TamTam nuked all their channels and chats.
TamTam is a messaging service developped by VK, that is similar to Telegram but with less of the functionality. TamTam is one of the platforms that ISIS supporters moved to in 2019 when telegram became to hostile for them.
The network of channels and chats I was observing were mainly using TamTam to store propagandistic material from branded channels that regularly get nuked by Telegram. The messaging service was mainly being used as an archive for propaganda, with the chats being used occasionally

Today marks the 5th year since the inception of QAnon. The movement has drastically changed and evolved since it first emerged. Not only in size of the movement, but also in the way that it manifests itself, as well as how far globally it is now found.
As I'm finishing the last chapter of my dissertation and I am reading chapters I wrote in 2019 using data and primary sources from 2017, 2018, 2019 vs what I have written in 2020, 2021 or 2022 we really have several different iterations of QAnon and the threat it can pose.
QAnon used to be centralized on 4chan between October 28, 2017 to November 1, 2017 when the first "Q" stated that 4chan had been infiltrated and compromised. At which point "Q" boards were moves to 8chan.

To no one's surprise QAnon influencers over on Telegram are drinking deep from the hopeium tonight following Musk taking over twitter.
They believe that this is all part of the Plan, and that the firing of Twitter's leadership, has nothing to do with a new owner wanting to put his own people at the head of the company,
Rather they believe Musk is a whitehat and he took control of Twitter and fired those in charge due to how they were members of the deep state and played a stole in stealing the 2020 election.

According to the lastest PRRI poll belief in QAnon has gone up by 5%. I agree with the first two questions they ask but the 3rd question doesn't relate only to QAnon alone and can lead to inclusion of some I wouldn't consider to be QAnon believers prri.org/research/chall…
Q3 the ask is "Because things have gotten so far off track, true American patriots may have to resort to violence in order to save our country." This is a Question that can relate to several domestic extremist actors.
QAnon believe first and foremost that that they are digital soldiers participation in information warefare. And would rather see themselves as digital warriors first. Framing the third question that way would make it more representative imo.
