World's Most Tyrannical Regime Can't Stop Babbling About "Human Rights"

"Which is very silly, considering the fact that the US government is the single worst human rights abuser on planet Earth. And it's not even close."
caitlinjohnstone.substack.com/p/worlds-most-…
Like all US secretaries of state, Tony Blinken spends his time claiming that other nations abuse human rights, and that it is America's duty to defend those rights. Which is very silly, considering the fact that the US government is the single worst human rights abuser on earth.
There is no other government that is circling the planet with hundreds of military bases and working to destroy any nation which disobeys it via invasion, proxy wars, blockades, economic warfare, staged coups, and covert operations.
thenation.com/article/archiv…
There is no other government on earth whose violence has killed millions of people (consortiumnews.com/2018/04/25/how…) and displaced tens of millions (theguardian.com/us-news/2020/s…) just since the turn of this century.
There is no other government waging nonstop wars around the world and dropping scores of bombs per day on human beings in foreign nations in order to perpetuate its iron-fisted domination of our planet.
commondreams.org/views/2021/03/…
And it just says so much about who is controlling the dominant narratives in our society that these actions are not considered human rights violations.
Not a day goes by when the US government is not doing the things described above, both directly and through its imperial member states. Yet the US secretary of state spends all day tweeting that other governments are guilty of human rights violations.
Because, as far as power is concerned, narrative control is everything.
caityjohnstone.medium.com/society-is-mad…
If mass murder is not an abuse of human rights, then "human rights" is a meaningless concept. But even if bombing campaigns and other acts of military butchery do not transgress your personal definition of human rights, the US still does not care about human rights.
What indeed, @MarkAmesExiled? Did Duterte cease promoting the extrajudicial killings of drug users and spontaneously transform into a cuddly wuddly human rights advocate?
Of course not. What happened, as Ames points out, is that Duterte ceased publicly toying with the notion of pivoting from Washington to Beijing as he had been doing since taking office, shifting to a hard line against China in support of Manila's longtime imperial overlord.
As I never tire of reminding readers, a leaked 2017 State Department memo spelled out in plain English how the US only cares about human rights when they can be weaponized against its enemies.
In Imperialist Brain Worms World, "human rights" is nothing other than a propaganda weapon to be used for building antagonistic international coalitions, and manufacturing consent for invasions, regime change ops, starvation sanctions and world-threatening cold war escalations.
It's just mass-scale concern trolling, of the most destructive and malignant sort imaginable.
Don't get duped into acting as an unwitting pro bono Pentagon propagandist. Don't be an imperial concern troll. Don't let the worst human rights abuser on the face of our planet get away with pretending to support human rights.

The CIA video is significant because it shows an agency staffed entirely by sociopaths using extremely manipulative language to advance its predatory agendas, not because it vindicates your dopey ideology. It's so dumb how everything real gets twisted into fake partisan bullshit.
The CIA can use, will use, and has used ANY ideological position to advance its agendas. That's what's so creepy about the video: it's a high-budget, in-your-face example of how predatory manipulators operate, and it sets off our predation alarms. It's not because "woke bad".
Sociopaths don't use language like normal human beings; normal people use language for connection and communication, while sociopaths use it for manipulation and control. Seeing it laid out openly, with language manipulated entirely divorced from human value, is shudder-inducing.

Silicon Valley Algorithm Manipulation Is The Only Thing Keeping Mainstream Media Alive

Recent statements by YouTube's CEO highlight the way Silicon Valley tech giants use algorithms to boost mainstream media propaganda and suppress independent content.
caitlinjohnstone.substack.com/p/silicon-vall…
Last month a very informative interview saw the CEO of YouTube, which is owned by Google, candidly discussing the way the platform uses algorithms to elevate mainstream news outlets and suppress independent content.
At the World Economic Forum’s 2021 Global Technology Governance Summit, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki told Atlantic CEO Nicholas Thompson that on important areas like news media the platform artificially elevates "authoritative sources".

It's so weird how not being murdered by explosives dropped from the sky is never considered a human right. Image
Learner's guide to what "human rights" actually means in Imperialist Brainworms Land:
This is an open secret in the US foreign policy establishment. Sometimes you catch them spelling it out it for new members, and it's like watching the old veteran explaining the backstory to the new guy in the pilot episode of a new TV series.

Oh wow. So we're at this stage already.
One under-appreciated part of this article is the bit where China spending little on its military is proof that it's a tyrannical horror in need of regime change.
The article, written by a former British diplomat, is essentially one long argument that China is evil and needs regime change because it refuses to act civilized and let billionaires take over the country.

Hard to blame people for believing dumb conspiracy theories about the powerful, seeing how proven conspiracies by the powerful are far worse. The conspiracy of the US power alliance to slaughter children in Yemen (and lie about it) is far worse than the QAnon stuff, for example.
MSM propaganda is another example. Wealthy elites and government agencies are indeed conspiring to manipulate the thoughts of the entire population; this is a fact that has been studied and documented for decades. It happens in a mundane way, but it's a huge, creepy conspiracy.
I mean, just think about it: powerful elites are engaging in mass-scale mind control to justify murder and genocide around the world. This is a fact. The only reason it doesn't give people the thrill of 5G nanobot mind control conspiracies or whatever is because we're used to it.

Biden Lied About Yemen

"We are being lied to about yet another US war by yet another US president."
caitlinjohnstone.substack.com/p/biden-lied-a…
The Biden administration has finally admitted that the US is providing offensive material support to Saudi Arabia's genocidal assault on Yemen, directly contradicting Biden's February claim that it would no longer be providing offensive support in that war
