(1/6) So there is a TON of disinformation going around today regarding a man named Pat Sweeney in Longford, who had his kids taken from him yesterday following a welfare call to Gardai indicating the children were in danger due to the man's mental health issues/aggression issues.
(2/6) This case has been disgustingly jumped on by the very small but active pocket of far right Disinfo spreading accounts active here in Ireland. Attempting to frame this as a "retaliation" for this man videoing Gardai breaking up an illegal gathering in a church recently.....

Just please be very very aware of highly emotionally evocative disinformation doing the rounds about this case. It's designed to shock you and overwhelm you emotionally and make you not think or question the specific incongruent details that keep jumping out about this story.
