Ghislaine Maxwell's sex-trafficking trial has been ADJOURNED until the fall because of new charges.

It was previously scheduled for July.

Developing story @LawCrimeNews.…
Maxwell requested the postponement because of the superseding indictment from March that added sex-trafficking charges.

The govt opposed any delay, citing stress to the victims.

The judge gave a shorter delay than requested.

Maxwell pleaded not guilty to all charges in her recent court appearance.
To be clear, the new charges refer to those leveled in her most recent superseding indictment from late March.

Good morning.

The NRA bankruptcy trial is heading to closing arguments today. I will be covering those proceedings for @LawCrimeNews.

Up first is the New York Attorney General's office, seeking to dismiss the case

Gerrit Pronske is delivering summations on behalf of the NYAG:

"This case was filed for a pure litigation strategy purpose: to 'dump New York,' which basically means to escape regulation in the New York proceeding."
Pronske on the NRA bankruptcy case:

"It is a circus sideshow that eventually ends up without succeeding to stop the New York proceeding."

Back to LaPierre's testimony—

Some of the q-s by the NRA's lawyer Greg Garman:

How many hours a week do you work as the organization's executive vice president?

How much of your work is forward facing rather than in the office?

You brought up friends dinners. What are those?

Neither of the men have been accused by prosecutors of any role in Sicknick's death, which the Medical Examiner attributed to natural causes.

Background in the story at the top of the thread.
Khater’s lawyer Joseph Tacopina is speaking on behalf of his client now, offering a $15 million bond ("unheard of," he says), home detention and surrendering of his passports.
