meditation is like rewinding time. rewinding old wounds returning you to a child like pristine state, where no hurt was ever levied and nothing was lost. also it does reverse aging. nature.com/articles/s4159…
this might be controversial, but I interpret reincarnation as the reincarnation of moments, to be mindful of what's driving our actions and chose consciously the response to escape the loop of trance. this leads to reincarnation of one's life through moments.
all we want in life is to be truly seen and unconditionally loved. ultimately the only person who can resolve this is oneself, but we look for this in others and sometimes we can get quite close. That is serendipity.
having someone else love you unconditionally so that that love can reflect back onto ourselves. sometimes this is is the start of self-love.
criticism and self-judgment are rooted in fear. the fear of a small child scared and worried that they won't be protected or will be harmed. it's heartbreaking to see, but mindfulness is able to hold it
there are three levels of freedom, to see the content of experience, to be mindful of the processes of the world, and consciousness itself.
what is your relationship to the content of experience? What is the attitude of your noticing of experience? Are you judging it? Are you impatient? Are you holding it with loving awareness?
as soon as you notice your relationship with the experience it collapsing down to the same dimension of the experience itself and is simply a thing you notice, and you can keep collapsing more dimensions down. this is meditation.
surrender to the inability to surrender - Gil Fronsdal
operate at the speed of mindfulness. - Gil Fronsdal
the intention in practice is to allow for the full expression of one's being - Gil Fronsdal
take a step into the unknown and [sic] so that you are even willing to die, because it is only dying day-by-day into something new, only facing that which is unknown that that which is indestructible can be born within you. - Karlfried Graf Durkheim
We live in illusion and the appearance of things. There is a reality. We are that reality. When you understand this, you see that you are nothing, and being nothing, you are everything. that is all - Kalu Rinpoche
