The reason the CDC did not publish an adult influenza death data chart in comparison to previous years is because Americans may not understand diagnostic substitution, but they understand pictures.
Despite being 5 months into 2021, I cannot find any published mortality statistics on influenza/pneumonia in the US for 2020 to compare to previous years. Not NVSS, not NCHS, not MMWR. How can we know if these respiratory deaths were at pandemic levels to justify such hysteria?
CDC now has vague influenza mortality qualitative descriptions like “extremely lower than previous years” and “one tenth of the lowest cases recorded since 2005” but nothing concrete to compare 2020 to 2019 with 49,783 influenza/pneumonia deaths and 15.2 deaths per 100K (NVSS)

Today I overheard a woman say “J&J has 66% effectiveness, but it includes all variant strains, so IF I have a choice, I will pick that one.”
To which I will respond how misinformed all of this statement is.
J&J 66% effectiveness at what? Reducing symptoms. The FDA EUA says it does not prevent infection or spread.
J&J does NOT include all variant strains or ANY strains. This is an mRNA drug. Nor could any vaccine include all strains of any virus.
