I’ve lived in rural America most of my life. I’ve been represented by Republicans for two decades now, but here’s the thing: They haven’t delivered. They say they stand with the forgotten folks, when in reality, many stand with their donors. I’m running for office to change that.
This is a picture of my Papa. His name was Jess and I’m named after him. He was a coal miner in Altus, Arkansas and struggled to get by on his pay. I’m running for office in his memory. Fair wages for a job well done. Image
This is my daddy. He was a conservative and always voted for Rs. He died of a treatable condition because his insurance refused to transfer him to a better hospital with experts in his diagnosis. I’m running for office in his memory. Quality healthcare is a right. Image
This is my grandma. She was one of 12 kids from Harlan, Kentucky. She was born into unimaginable poverty that she was able to overcome with an education. I’m running for office in her memory. Fully funded public schools for all. Image
These are my great-grandparents. They were from Branch, Arkansas and owned a small business and farmed. They were FDR Democrats and never forgot how good government can help folks. I run in their honor. Government policies should help everyone—not just the rich. Image
Finally, these are my children. They’ve know hard times because I haven’t always been able to provide a steady income. I was a mom by 20, but I worked and we made it thanks to services like Medicaid. I run for them. For a better Missouri—one that works for all of us. Image
I hope to be elected in NWMO in 2022 to move Missouri forward. I will listen. I will act in the best interest of my district. I know I’m a tough sell, as this is a very red district, but I’m willing to fight for the interests of the 1st district. I hope you’ll consider me.

🧵The Franklin County, Arkansas detention center is holding two women without bond for trying to rescue a stray mama dog and several puppies from a house that was being demolished. The porch
Collapsed during the demo breaking mama dog’s back. Two women were detained for criminal trespassing while recusing one dog. The remaining puppies under the porch were in danger and bystanders called 911 to stop the demo and rescue the puppies. Here is video of the incident.
Bottom line, you can be criminally charged and held without bond for recusing dogs under a porch that someone has knowingly collapsed on puppies. Here are the women charged. One works for a animal rescue agency, and another is a neighbor who knew the dogs were in danger. Image

I was recently invited to an event at an evangelical church. I attended it. While the soft Christian music was playing in the background, and group of women gathered together in fellowship, it started to feel comfortable and like home. I was on a little bit of a high when…
standing next to a small gathering of women, I heard them speaking about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. My ears perked up and I was about to gush about the program, when one said she wouldn’t allow any of those books in her home. “Dolly is an immoral woman.” It was then
that I remembered why I don’t attend a church like this. Dolly Parton has given away much of her fortune to poor children but is “immoral.” Donald Trump has been accused and indicted on 91 felonies and admitted to sexual assault, but he is “their president.” Nah. I’m good.

The Missouri GOP and their school privatization donors are scared of me. 🧵

A person sent me a $30 donation through ActBlue under a fake name. I received 7,800 small donations in that quarter. The MEC spent a year to investigate it to find out someone from Massachusetts sent it
to me thinking it would be funny? Idk. When we were alerted to the donation we tried to refund it, but the MEC decided to investigate it because my former Representative wrote them to tell them to investigate. Thirty dollars. Yes, it was an oversight and we tried to correct it
but I’m a loudmouth woman who hits these assholes hard every day and they made an example of me. Here’s what y’all should know though, I could’ve accepted thousands from a dark money PAC, but I accepted $30. You see the issue? Dark money wins and small donations are suspect.

I found out quickly when I ran for office that politics is a game to a lot in politics. It's not a game for me--it never was. I had several politicos write articles on me saying I couldn't win my race. Well, no shit? I live in a district that hasn't elected a Dem in 32 years, and
has never elected a woman. These folks thought it was cute to point out that I was raising money for "no reason." Wtf.

The reason is because my community deserves representation. Because abortion and schools and roads and health care matter to us too. Because even though I'm
from a poor rural community, it matters. I actually had DEMOCRATIC folks tell me to be quieter because I might be so divisive to the Republicans, that I draw them out on election day. Really? You know who else I drew out? Democrats. Why do we give in? Why do we act like it's

Declarations of Secession

South Carolina: "An increasing hostility on the part of the non-slaveholding States to the institution of slavery, has led to a disregard of their obligations, and the laws of the General Government have ceased to effect the objects of the Constitution"
Georgia: "For the last ten years we have had numerous and serious causes of complaint against our non-slave-holding confederate States with reference to the subject of African slavery. They have endeavored to weaken our security, to disturb our domestic peace and tranquility..."
Mississippi: "Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world. Its labor supplies the product which constitutes by far the largest and most important portions of commerce of the Earth."

Did you know, a nominee for State House on the ballot increases the vote share for the top of the ticket by 1.5%?

In 2022, 40% of MO House seats had no Dem nominee on the ballot. 2.5 M Missourians didn’t have the option to vote for a Dem. We can't win if we don't compete. 1/6
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. And for far too long, too many statehouse races have gone uncontested and unsupported. Democrats in these districts feel abandoned, ignored… forgotten. Meanwhile, GOP nominees get free passes.

It doesn’t have to be this way. 2/6
Working together, we can show up for Missouri’s Democrats, making sure no Democrat gets left behind … no Missouri voter is left without a choice and no Republican gets a free ride. 3/6
