Here we go again.

Before you write a story about the Florida law’s “sweeping restrictions” or “reducing voter access” please take a look at the specifics of the bill.

Democrats want to make basic safeguards that have existed for decades toxic. Don’t help them gaslight.
All of these stories argue that the bill “restricts” mail-in voting.

That’s crap.

✅ It requires voters to request a mail ballot (not hard)

✅ It requires voters use an ID to request ballots (overwhelmingly popular in every poll you’ll ever see)

heritageaction.com/blog/myth-vs-f…
States that added special drop boxes for COVID are trying to figure out how to standardize them.

Contrary to the Brennan Center’s lies (below) FL will still have drop boxes, but they’ll have security and be in monitored locations.
Ballot harvesting!

Media is accepting the left’s argument that preventing paid political operatives from collecting ballots (unsupervised) is voter suppression.

It’s not. Ballot harvesting (trafficking) is wildly unpopular and FL was smart to limit it

Blows me away to see media uncritically repeat Dem lies that poll watchers (a safeguard that’s existed for decades) somehow intimidate voters.

Here’s a good fact-check from @Heritage_Action

And of course a greatest hit!

After media overwhelmingly botched the Georgia provision on electioneering (and campaigns not handing out food and water) Axios tied Florida’s broad anti-electioneering provision... to food and water.

This provision is NOT controversial at all.
Disgraced Democrat lawyers have already begun filing their (incredibly thin) lawsuits, focused on misrepresenting these provisions.

✅ Drop box changes
✅ Requiring a request for mail ballots
✅ Limiting ballot harvesting
✅ “Food and water ban”

Here the Washington Post follows Biden and Stacey Abrams’ lead invoking Jim Crow in an incredible reach.

I have to imagine there’s some kind of reward out there for finding a way to tie Jim Crow in, because the stretch here (in a NEWS story) is quite something.

You probably missed the Friday news dump.

Biden’s final EV rules make it easier for China to get billions in Biden’s EV tax credits - with Biden acknowledging that the U.S. supply chain can’t meet the timeline for his green transition.

Dems are feigning outrage - “this will allow China to infiltrate the American auto supply chain, at American taxpayers’ expense.”

The problem? Every Democrat voted for this with the Inflation Reduction Act.

Good luck defending this @SenBobCasey @SenatorTester @SenSherrodBrown Image
@SenBobCasey @SenatorTester @SenSherrodBrown Biden is exempting graphite from EV sourcing rules (77.5% comes from China) saying it’s “impracticable to trace.”

But these same people argue oil and gas companies should pay cities for storm damage from “global climate change” - as if that’s traceable.

One thing that fascinates me about @EvanMcMullin is he was so eager knee-jerk oppose anything Trump did that he ended up taking a lot of stupid positions.

But opposing killing Soleimani as he was planning to kill Americans was a required position for MSNBC talking heads. #utpol
Mike Lee worked hard for a strong conservative Supreme Court majority.

@EvanMcMullin joined conspiracy theorists like Michael Avenatti to smear them.

Go back 6 years - you won’t find a conspiracy theory McMuffin didn’t jump on so he could get booked on TV.

#utdebates #utpol ImageImage
Of COURSE @EvanMcMullin went all in on the Steele Dossier.

Why would anyone believe anything this snake oil salesman had to say about anything? #utpol #utdebates

5 reasons student loan bailout is bad:

1⃣Inflation
2⃣Regressive - taxing the poor to buy high-income earners grad degrees
3⃣Dark Brandon needs pandemic relief for grad degree holders?
4⃣Unfair to people chose cheaper options/military service to pay
5⃣ Should be done by Congress
Will be hilarious that just a week after Democrats (and their media allies) touted the "deficit reduction" in the "Inflation Reduction Act" they're about to cancel it all out to finance rich kids grad degrees in underwater basket weaving.

CC: @Sen_JoeManchin
.@BudgetHawks on impact on inflation:

"$10,000 of debt cancellation could add up to 15 basis points up front and create additional inflationary pressure over time."

Pretty incredible to write this entire piece without the context that the right's dark money efforts are a tiny fraction of the scale of the left.

Left wing dark money is so influential that the top expert CNN quoted in this piece .. is a left-wing dark money operative.
This section is phenomenal.

Robert Maguire says "we've never seen a group of this magnitude before."

Robert Maguire works for CREW - funded by Soros's Open Society Foundation - which has assets estimated at $3.7 BILLION.

Did CNN not Google Maguire or his org?
Also in that section - CNN refers to Arabella Advisors, Soros, and Hansjorg Wyss as "managing several smaller dark money groups."

SMALLER? According to the NYT Arabella spent more than a BILLION DOLLARS in the 2020 cycle alone.

Again RESEARCH HELPS.

There's about 20 different ways the Biden administration made this happen.
Let's do this.

1) Cancelling Keystone.

Obama admin estimated Keystone would create 43K jobs and generate $4.3B in economic activity. It moved 830K barres of crude a day in the safest way possible. Now its moved by train/truck, slower and more expensive.

foxnews.com/politics/biden…
2) Halting oil and gas leases on federal land.

In 2019 fed leases made up for 22% of US oil and 12% of natural gas production. The pause didn't last, but it hurt jobs and began the slow rise of energy costs they're now trying to make up for.

What a bizarre week on the topic of education.

The left is totally baffled by parent engagement on what’s happening in the classroom, and can’t decide whether to tell them they’re not wanted or.. sick the authorities on them.

A quick thread 🧵
Terry said the quiet part out loud —

Parents should pay taxes and hand over their kids, but are not allowed to ask questions about what they’re being taught.

This is one of the craziest stories I’ve read all year.

Fairfax threatens a special needs mother for releasing records THEY GAVE HER documenting accusations of “systemic abuse of special needs students.”
