LOOK: 'PETITION FOR FEDERALISM' CIRCULATING IN CALAMBA JEEPNEY STOP
In an interview, Rich Adriel de Guzman of National Union of Students of the Philippines Southern Tagalog (NUSP-ST) says that a "petition for federalism" was circulating in an SM Calamba jeepney terminal.
According to de Guzman, he initially assumed that the form was for contact tracing purposes, adding that there was no explanation as to what the form was for and was only passed from passenger to passenger.
However, de Guzman later found-out the truth from the jeepney driver: the form holder.
"Inask ko yung driver just now para saan s[i]ya tas ang sabi ay petition daw talaga to push for parang a 'parliamentary procedure for a revolutionary govt [sic] towards federalism' na ipupush daw once 'manalo si sara duterte [sic],' de Guzman explained in a Facebook message.
de Guzman condemns this move, calling to abolish the Duterte political dynasty, to hold the national government accountable for its negligence, and to not let another fascist take power.
Supporters of presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte have been campaigning for her to secure a seat in the presidential office as the 2022 elections draw closer.
Most instances of campaigning were received negatively with an example being how residents of Los Baños, Laguna vandalized a tarpaulin supporting her before it was taken down in the same day.
