EYO Festival
Usually performed on Lagos island, Eyo refers to costumed dancers known as masquerades.
Back in the day, it's was held to escort the soul of the departed Lagos King.
First held in 1854. Last held in 2017.
ᴀʀɢᴜɴɢᴜɴ ꜰɪꜱʜɪɴɢ ꜰᴇꜱᴛɪᴠᴀʟ
A dance festival held annually for 4 days. It's held in Kebbi state.
Began in 1934 to mark and end to 'beef' between Sokoto Caliphate and Kebbi kingdom
The winner on the last day wins $7500.
N E W Y A M festival
Held at the end of the rainy season by the igbo people in NIGERIA. It symbolises the conclusion of harvest and beginning of next farming cycle.
Its an important event in the calender for Igbo people round the world.
