Are Bangles mere ornaments? Why should women wear bangles?

The oldest object found in India, a bronze figurine of a dancing girl excavated at Mohenjodaro dating back 2000B.C or earlier depicts one arm adorned with lot of bangles.

Bangles are an integral part of sanatana Dharma
The sanskrit word kankan means ornaments that adorn the arms & from this comes the word "kangan" meaning Bangle. Now, let us see why bangles aren't just adornments but has a much deeper significance

Enhances blood circulation-According to siddha, a traditional system of medicine
the pulse (naadi) which is felt at the wrist area is used to diagnose several major ailments

The constant friction between the Bangles & the wrist area ensures good blood circulation & inturn improves physiological functions of the body

Spiritual healing & Scientific evidence-
Bangles eliminates the subtle Raja-Tama components & leads to increase in sattvik nature of body thereby activating divinity in the woman.

Metal bangles attracts a flow of shakti, devi tattva(goddess principle) & Chaitanya(divine consciousness).
This has been proven by a team
scientifically by generating a digital version of the subtle vibrations emitted by a bangle.

Also, the circular shaped bangles doesn't allow the energy to escape. This Shakti & Chaitanya are emitted into the body in the form of waves and particles promoting holistic well being.
Therapeutic - The tinkle of Bangles in a house keeps the negative energy at bay.

Also, Bangles are gifted during baby shower ceremony. The foetus craves for acoustic stimuli and the tinkles of bangle when worn by the mother enhances the hearing ability of the foetus.

Are you
emotional? - Big sized bangles activates the Raja-Guna and awakens your warrior spirit and helps overcome emotional disturbances. The reason we see women from warrior class adorned in heavy jewelry in ancient times.

Accupressure - Bangles are proven to activate certain pressure
points in the wrist area that calms the mind & helps in management of anger issues

Why bangles not for Men?
According to Ayurveda, the bone density of women are weaker than men.The bangles act as wrist weights, facilitating endurance & bone strengthening. So men are recommended
to use metal wrist bands &/or arm bands due to differences in certain composition of their body & the purpose.

Today, Jewelry market is flooded with many contemporary designs & made of unnatural materials like plastic. This has led to bangles which are low in satvika tattva.
It is recommended to wear bangles made of traditional design & natural material to get maximum spiritual benefits. Hari Om🙏
