How to help hurting people

“Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious.” Ecc 10:12 NIV
Are you are easily hurt? Do you hurt other people without intending to? Three things cause that: (1) We speak out of our own hurt.
German poet Hermann Hesse wrote: “If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of yourself. What isn’t part of ourselves doesn’t disturb us.” It helps to remember that people often lash out in response to what’s happening inside themselves.
(2) When we’re hurting, we get touchy. Let’s say you ignore a splinter in your finger, and it gets infected. Someone brushes up against it, and you howl with pain, “You hurt me!” However, the real problem is the splinter you neglected to address.
Hurting people overreact, over exaggerate, and overprotect. They also over-influence. Counselors who deal with couples in crisis say that emotionally one spouse “throws up,” and the other “cleans up.” Usually the one with the most pain does the most damage.
(3) Getting over our hurt takes time. Quick fixes don’t work. The kindest thing you can do when someone’s hurting is to show them you care. And if they’re willing, to help them work through their issues and get beyond the pain. Good things can come from bad situations.
A cleaning company working on a sewer line under a city street found sixty-one diamond rings, numerous vintage coins, and silverware. It was an unpleasant job—but the workers were allowed to keep the valuables they found.
You may have to deal with some pretty nasty stuff, but in the process, you may discover some treasures you didn’t know existed, and after all your hard work, end up with a great relationship.

Thirty nine year old Noel Chigbo was gunned down by the military at the Amakohia area of Owerri North for allegedly 'violating checkpoints rules'. He was a father of two, whose wife was also pregnant with another baby.
Noel's crime was looking fresh and young and driving a new Toyota camry he just took delivery of. It has been over one week since he was killed and none of his killers has be detained.
Twenty five year old Divine Nwaneri, an undergraduate of Imo State University was shot dead along Douglas Road by the military. Her only crime was walking close to the custodial centre. Nobody asked Divine to turn back, nobody arrested her for questioning.

NIGERIA'S POPULATION MYTH REVISITED

So much had been said about the above, and by now we know that they can no longer be kept under the hat. I have decided to limit my analysis to 3 federating States in Nigeria, Lagos, Kano and Oyo.
Let's collocate the population figures. According to the 2006 federal 'population allocation':
LAGOS: 9,013,534.
KANO: 9,383,682.
OYO: 5,591,589.
source: National Bureau of Statistics.
I've said it several times hitherto that demography-wise, people settle around the coastal areas. However, Nigeria is the only exception in the world! Well, let's leave population allocation, and let's consider the actual number of taxpayers resident in these states in 2015.

ACTUALLY WHAT IS BINI ABOUT IKWERRE?

Recently, just a few years ago, Ogbakor Ikwerre wrote Bini Kingdom a letter seeking to identify with them as to establish an acclaimed Bini ancestry but in response, Bini Kingdom stated that there was no available evidence that Bini...
has anything to do with Ikwerre ancestrally. This fact is on record but just to state that we must be careful as a people not to allow the quest by some for political correctness cast us into the bottomless pit.
Nobody has said, and I did not say Ikwerre is Igbo, but it is doubtless that Ikwerre as a multi ancestral ethnic block has most of its ancestry traced to Igbo. All the crap that Igbo hates Ikwerre is just a post civil war narrative and script and has never worked for us.

Over the weekend, respected columnist & ex-Editorial Board chairman of Guardian newspaper, Sonala Olumhense confirmed a story that was making the rounds in Washington DC newsrooms all of last week.

property in Nigeria.
In the words of Olumhense; “…Buhari could not get a meeting with Vice-President Kamala Harris, let alone Mr. Biden. He could not speak with either official even by telephone, although both had in March spoken to the leaders of Kenya, Democratic...

Audrey Marie Hilley always pushed her luck.
First, she murdered her husband and almost got away with it until she tried to kill her daughter. Then, she skipped out on bail and avoided capture for years, but she ultimately got busted when she faked her own death.
By the time she escaped prison in 1987, her luck ran out altogether.
Known as Marie by her friends, she was born Audrey Marie Frazier in 1933, grew up in Anniston, Alabama. She married her HS sweetheart, Frank Hilley, in 1951 and gave birth to their son, Michael, a year later.
Marie had an eye for the finer things in life, and she rubbed elbows with several prominent families in Anniston, climbing up the small southern town’s social ladder.
“She was a lady that liked to spend a lot of money.

More than 30 of the largest European banks and credit card processing companies are trying to create a payment giant that can destroy the "oligopoly" dominated by the US.
The Brussels-based facility, which currently employs 40 payment experts, is due by September to develop a pan-European payment service plan that can pay online in stores, settle bills between individual consumers, and withdraw funds. cash at ATMs.
The banks and acquirers behind the initiative include Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, ING, UniCredit, and Santander, and they currently process more than half of all payments in Europe. The project enjoys the support of the European Commission, as well as the financial regulators of
