The 🇯🇲 JSE closed up another 1.5% today

Big movers include

• GHL up another 11% on its 2nd day. Breaking the $1000 barrier

• Jamaican Teas hitting a $4.27 high
Guardian jumped 7.7% in T&T 🇹🇹 today

I'd love to know the mood there 🥳🎉

The stock hit TT$29, possibly an all-time high, but definitely the highest in years
The JSE is now up 10% YTD. Big turnaround

However🤔, because of our market composition and

• how largely weighted some stocks are... &
• how thinly traded others are...

You have to bear that in mind when using that to look at the overall market

MAJOR MOVE IN THE 🇯🇲 MARKET TODAY

Guardian made a BIG splash

• Guardian traded for the first time today since its relisting yesterday

• It traded for waaaay more than the $582 price it was listed at... No surprise to us though... But seeing it happen is still impressive 👏🥳
• It hit a high of $871 today, That's 50% more than the price it was listed at

• Talk about a POP!💣🗯️🧨

• To catch up on the Guardian story check our previous tweets
• As a result, that pushed the entire market up a WHOPPING 3.7% 🚀

• Now the market is up 8% YTD. That's big 💪

• Imagine this... Guardian is big, the 3rd largest on the market... And NCBFG is already HUGE...

So imagine the impact of those two on the market😲🤯

Fosrich💡🔌⚡️👨‍🔧 continues to see strong growth in their business👏👌

✅Sales up 22% vs last year
✅Profits of $38m vs $4.8m last year

Well done.
But...
...before I state that the profit was 8 times the amount made last year this time.... the truth is... last year's profit was lower than normal

Q1 last year, profits were actually down 85% as they had to cover increased expansion costs.... not a bad move either
The key story is the continued growth in Sales as they've seen higher 'profits' before... more than $50m in a quarter

They saw increased sales for
✔️Electrical lighting
✔️Hardware
✔️LED
✔️Panels
✔️PVC
✔️Solar & wiring devices
