The first seven innings of this game were awesome: Boyd made first start since 1 inn. start on 4/29 - and he was terrific; 6IP 4H 0R 2BB/5K - all singles, little hard contact, lowered ERA to 1.94, has now allowed just 1HR in 42IP....2/
....#Tigers offense continues to show signs of improvement - 20 more BR tonight, good situational hitting, and sustained rallies. Tigers scored 4R in 4th - went 1st-3rd on three consecutive singles, Grossman brought in 4th run on sac fly on 9th pitch of AB v. Singer...3/
....in 5th, single, HBP, BB loaded bases - then Grossman unloaded them with triple to RCF gap.
Grossman finished 2-5 w/ 5RBI, has now reached in 16 of last 32PA.....4/

...other offensive highlights: Goodrum 1-3 +BB+HBP and scored 3R (reached in 14 of last 29PA), Castro reached 3 times, scored twice, and Baddoo reached all five times with 2H+3BB, scored twice....5/
....in 8th - Joe Jimenez walked two and gave up 3-run HR to Soler to make it 7-3. Jimenez has now walked 9 of 15 batters he's faced, allowed 8R in 1.2IP.....just so tough to see him struggle so badly....6/
....then in 9th - Royals scored a run off Cisnero on dbl, single, single....then w/ 2 outs - Rivero hit GB to short, ball just got away from Goodrum - error loaded bases - and Soler cleared them with 422ft dbl to CF, tying the game - incredibly - at 7....7/
.....Goodrum started 9th by getting hit by Barlow slider....stole 2B...after Baddoo walk, Rogers struck out...leaving it up to Grossman. After count got to 1-2, he ripped line drive past Santana...Goodrum scored easily, and #Tigers had one of strangest wins you'll ever see...8/
