Share posts on your social media - especially if you have a big following. This is essential to help change the narrative. Don’t worry about the response you will get. Honestly? People react overwhelming positively to others standing up for humanity & justice. (4)
Attend demos! They show solidarity and Palestinians I have met always express their thanks for this. People gain strength from knowing others are with them. Here is a demo in London on Sat. There will others in your local area (5) palestinecampaign.org/events/
Educate yourself - part 1. If you are new to this, it can feel complicated. I get that. That's ok. I recommend starting with something like watching Mark Thomas’ comedy shows Walking the Wall/Stows from the Frontline. (6) markthomasinfo.co.uk/store/#!/Walki…
Educate yourself - part 2. @Trevornoah put out a great video yesterday. @hrw published a great report a few weeks back. @benabyad's 'Israeli Apartheid a Beginners Guide' is good. My book Zaitoun explores the occupation through food & travel stories etc etc. you get the idea (7)
Buy Palestinian! This is a practical way to directly support producers on the ground. I highly recommend @Zaytoun_CIC olive oil and za'atar and dates in the UK and canaanusa.com in the US. Easy to source, big impact, delicious products. Everyone's happy. (8)
Read up on the @BDSmovement and why Palestinian Civil Society is calling for it as the main form of international solidarity. Here is something @NaomiAKlein wrote about it many moons ago.
And here is the Palestinian call (9) bdsmovement.net

Call out the media when you see and read bias in reporting language. Write to journalists. Email editors. Help change the narrative. Don't let lazy or poor media reporting pass by unchallenged. (10)
Donate to charities such as @MedicalAidPal, @AmosTrust, @WarOnWant @PSCupdates, @MSF_USA but bear in mind that justice, not charity will end this so be sure to donate to organisations who organize grassroots campaigns too. (11)
Follow leading Jewish who are campaigning on this issue such as @jvplive and @IfNotNowOrg. I think Instagram is great for online activism too and I really rate 'Let's Talk Palestine' (it does great explainers) and PaliRoots (12)
Support Palestinian culture – music, dance, literature, poetry, food – there is so much beauty and joy Palestinians have to offer! Engage with and enjoy their cultural offerings and (importantly!) share it with others to help connect to our common, wider, humanity.(13)
Write your political representative and ask them to publicly condemn Israel’s actions and call for a 2 way arms embargo with Israel until it starts complying with international law. Here is a link to do that secure.waronwant.org/page/66189/act… (2)
When people say they feel helpless, I get that. But here are some ideas for action. There are many more ways to act and we need a global movement to end this illegal occupation. It's the only way to bring a lasting peace for everyone (Israeli and Palestinian) in the region.
Soz for the all the typos... was frantically tapping away in speed.. but you get the gist! #EidMubarak fam☀️

Today we gathered at Stockwell to mark 15 years since Jean Charles de Menezes was killed by the Metropolitan police. No officers were ever charged for his murder. Working with his family has been one of the great honours of my life. Here’s a short thread about #justice4jean (1)
Jean’s death still feels like it was yesterday... especially in a world where police impunity following deaths in custody continues to be the norm in the U.K.
It’s a travesty that not a single police officer was held accountable for the death of an innocent man and that the state even shut down the option of leaving “unlawful killing” at the inquest.
