This has to be the jimin’s one of the most insane live vocal flex ever , this is the example of what you say seems effortless or which looks like someone doing something so insane w/o even trying too hard or showing too hard , him just sitting smile & showcasing one of the most

Insane live vocal ever , this right here him using a transition between “Flageolet” & “reinforced falsetto “ . That’s why he sounds so high especially the squeaky lengthening . Don’t confuse the term “reinforced falsetto” with just falsetto , they ain’t exactly the same

And don’t confuse falsetto with head voice either they are not same even though they sound very similar , let’s first start with the easiest way to differentiate these two first , because this is more confusing to the ear if you don’t know how each of them works

During falsetto the outer edges of vocal cords are touching while during head voice part of the vocal cords come together not the whole length . Head voice is basically is thicker & solid than falsetto , in other way falsetto is thinner and airy ,during both falsetto & head voice

The vocals cords lengthen and stretches and hasten the air to the back but the main difference is both are same while falsetto has no compression while head voice has compression & clean co-ordinated , so falsetto sounds light weaker and airy while head voice sound clean solid &

Co -ordinated . Now come to “reinforced falsetto “ where jimin is using it during the harmony . Reinforced falsetto is not weak , or airy or loose it’ sounds more solid not airy & why does it sound this way differently even though it’s a variation of falsetto ?

“Reinforced falsetto “ has a very buzz or ping sound to it or nasal resonance in easy terms & the chords are tight but the chords aren’t tight in a mixed variation because if it’s mixed it will sound like belt not a reinforced falsetto , and a much needed is high positioned

Larynx , the larynx is coming up and the chords are getting tighter and lengthening the cricothyroid muscle more & allowing the sound to have nasal resonance , this is why it sounds so high and yet solid but not too solid , now let’s go to flute voice or Flageolet

Flute voice sounds more higher than reinforced falsetto & head voice its actually sounds so high that you will here those certain squeaks , so the flute voice goes above one’s falsetto & this allows head voice or falsetto to go more higher than it already can , and this is

So useful for building up one’s higher range and the way jimin keeps practicing in this range this is why his gradual increase is 10 times more higher than what u used to see in previous years of him growing up as a singer . If anyone wants build up there range

Just practice in flageolet or falsetto This will do magic and will impress everyone that high up there anyone can go , but don’t confuse flageolet or flute voice with whistle voice , whistle is so different that all of these nd during whistle voice the vocal chords

Don’t vibrate its like hollow and just air passing through the hollow area and it’s easy to make . I think jimin keep practicing in head voice dominant vowels to build up his range that’s why he is so smooth that even his highest phonating register flute voice sounds so smooth

And effortless , he is just constantly working on his cricothyroid muscle, this is what you call the flexibility muscle the more you work on it and the more lengthier u can make it the more higher u can go with consistent effortless pitch , this is why having wider larynx helps

With vocal agility a lot & look at how Jimin sounds so smooth and effortless ,first him using flageolet and then toning the squeaks down to reinforced falsetto and the transitions sounds so smooth that you won’t even notice if you don’t listen it again and again to differentiate

Flageolet is built up at the top of one’s real vocal range and for this cricothyroid muscles is so dominant , jimin knows how to use it so smoothly and just sounds so damn effortless yet high , he really worked on those muscles and that’s why it doesn’t matter how many singers

Are singing , still you can differentiate jimin’s vocal so well , he is just doing maxium level vocal fold stretching with least amount of Putting force over his chords & and also because jimin’s timbre goes to countertenor so it helps with developing his range more up there

2021 has been a blessing where you will see jimin’s build up his range so up there that ain’t no body touching but the best thing about him is just he knows how to make it controlled and high yet smooth and not to extreme to the audience , this is an art , he is an art
