This 'toolkit' came about at a time when the Modi govt had been criticised from all quarters, including some of their own leaders, for their failures, which has led to the deaths of thousands of Indians, deaths that were completely avoidable.

Since these were screenshots of documents, that inherently meant that the authenticity of these documents could not be determined without access to original documents. However, that did not deter mainstream media from making this a prime time talking point.

The document that was the basis of all outrage was titled, "Cornering Narendra Modi & BJP on COVID Management".
The other document was titled, "Central Vista Redevelopment: Vanity Project Amidst the Pandemic".

On 19th morning, many in BJP started sharing the file properties of one of the docs. The file name suggests that this was of the 'vista' document. The properties can be seen if one has physical access to the doc, or someone who has physical access sends this information.

At this point, it was clear that at least someone in BJP had access to a pdf copy of the 'vista' document. Alt News was also able to get access to this said document through @rajeevgowda, and the file properties match the version shared by BJP members.

After 60 hours of the screenshots of two docs initially appearing on social media (SM), and 36 hours of the file properties of the 'vista' document being shared on SM, there's still NO trace of the specifics of the 'toolkit' doc. Congress has termed the 'toolkit' doc as fake.

It is this 'toolkit' document which was the basis of all the outrage, so why hasn't BJP shared the original document yet, thus enabling mainstream media and BJP IT cell to plaster it all over, so people at least momentarily will get distracted from the pandemic?

The reason of this delay is probably because the 'toolkit' document, the reason for all outrage, was manufactured by someone on a forged letterhead. When @AltNews analyzed the screenshots of the two documents and the original 'vista' doc, the letterheads did not match.

@rajeevgowda also shared with @AltNews another doc created by the AICC research wing, besides the 'vista' document. When we compared these two original docs with the 'toolkit' screenshots, it was found that the header and footer of the toolkit doc did not match the others.

The other thing that stood out was that a lot of the 'organised propaganda' that Congress was accused of had already happened in April 2021, while this document was created for May 2021. [Check the dates highlighted with boxes]

The very idea of a toolkit is to dictate a future course of action. So why was this 'toolkit' document suggesting propaganda that was already carried out in the past?

The longer those who created the 'toolkit' document take to put out the original 'toolkit' document in public domain for forensic analysis, the more it would seem like this 'toolkit' document was manufactured as a distraction.

Of course, if this was indeed manufactured, then we can totally expect the mainstream media to zip up, and not question as to why such a nefarious strategy was adopted when thousands are dying everyday. Let's wait and watch.
