The host has directed a question about whether Butter reach no 1 on the Billboard charts to Minstradamus himself, Suga.

"I think we can make it," he says. "We will get number one." #BTS_Butter

When asked about their plans for the rest of the year, RM says: "I wish I could give you a lot of details but unfortunately I can't."

First focus is Butter promos, then Festa in June and having a great time with fans. #BTS_Butter

Suga says there have been difficult and painful moments in the past year, but he received a lot of consolation and healing from listening to @bts_twt songs. The way he views his own music has changed and it's made him want to work harder and create even better music #BTS_Butter

J-Hope says they felt uneasy when their plans were upended last year. But they had many good things happen too — 2020 was a rollercoast. At the centre, music played the most important role. Like Suga, J-hope got consolation through music and learned its power. #BTS_Butter

J-Hope: "I'm missing the things that we took for granted, the ordinary things that we used to do. I learned that they were really precious." #BTS_Butter

Jimin says they're doing more variety shows not because their thoughts changed, but because their plans changed. They couldn't meet fans and there were more constraints on what they could do, so they found a [different] way to communicate with the fans. #BTS_Butter

Jin says he's so grateful ARMY is always waiting for BTS and with them in spirit. "They're all watching us and doing a lot of things with us. For everyone who likes us and follows us...we really work hard and go forward." #BTS_Butter

Q: Are you aiming for a Grammy with Butter?
Suga: I can't say that it's not (a goal). Of course we continue to want to receive a Grammy Award. Butter will be another try at the Grammy Award and I hope we can have good results. #BTS_Butter

RM: Of course we are thinking of the Grammys and we will do whatever we can to go towards that goal. #BTS_Butter

Q for RM about writing in English:
RM: When we first encountered this song...Butter was selected among many, many songs. It was already from the guide very complete. We wanted to participate, but it was already very good. #BTS_Butter

RM: For some parts — the rap parts — it wasn't fully compatible with our style. So I think that's what inspired us to participate. I didn't participate just because I speak English. I was lucky to be able to participate in making this song. #BTS_Butter

Suga: There's always a competition among ourselves. THis is a song that had to be ing English and I have been studying English hard but my suggestions were immediately binned (he is laughing saying this!) #BTS_BUtter

RM: Questions about Kpop or the American market, when we hear them, we do a lot of introspection... but I think Kpop is not so much a music genre but should be categorised as an industry. #BTS_Butter

RM worked on half of the rap sections from what was originally there #BTS_Butter

Jimin says they spend a lot of time talking about visuals and choreo and what they can show to fans #BTS_Butter

V says they're happy and joyous to be reaching their 8th anniversary, but there are pangs of regret they're not able to see ARMY in person for Festa and there are still so many performances they haven't been able to show. #BTS_Butter

Jin changes the subject back to V's perm and asks how long he spent in the stylist chair getting it done. "Doesn't it look like a poodle?" #BTS_Butter

V: I'm in charge of the cuteness of the members right now so I thought I needed this hair for that position. #BTS_Butter

Jimin says they've been talking a lot about their 8th anniversary and what they can do in their relationship with fans and show things that will satisfy fans. They always want to show their best side to ARMY. #BTS_Butter

RM: What is our role in this "new normal". Why do we exist? Why do we create music? Achievements like the Grammys are important, but as BTS what are the values we should realise and pursue...how can we leave a legacy that will be meaningful for us? #BTS_Butter

When asked if they'd return to hip hop, Suga says BE had hip hop and they don't really think about genre divisions when creating music. #BTS_Butter

Suga: We are singers so in our job as singers we work hard so that we can be proud at what we do, and we can feel good about what we do. A singer would not be popular without a good performance on the stage...that is a strength we have. #BTS_Butter

Jin says he has seen people say online they're thankful they can relate to their message, especially when going through hard times #BTS_Butter

RM says they can't spoil their appearance on FRIENDS but they've shot it all.

RE: Queen's (deleted) tweet — even though it went viral in the middle of the night, they did not sample or do an homage to Queen #BTS_Butter

Jin says they have no plans to work with Queen but says "please call us, we're always ready" #BTS_Butter

Q about what made them think about their legacy so much.
RM says as Jin mentioned, they reflect the zeitgeist, what's relatable. When they create an album they talk to the company about how they feel, what stories they want to tell. #BTS_Butter

RM says they try to strike a balance — what they want to say, and what stories people want to hear from them. Their albums contain the best answers they have at that time. #BTS_Butter

Suga says when he started in Daegu he performed for an audience of 2. He used to make music that no one listened to and it wounded him. Compared to that they are receiving so much love. "Who do we make music for? Always the fans." #BTS_Butter
