This photo is of a child 3 weeks beyond the limit set by Mississippi.

Denying a mother the ability to have a child this age killed via induced abortion is what abortion advocates say will "gut Roe".

If protecting this child threatens Roe maybe Roe is too extreme of a standard.
At this age a D&E is the most common procedure, commonly referred to as a dismemberment abortion. Less dilation is more comfortable for mom.

When the doctor is no longer strong enough to pull the child's limbs off, they move to an induced heart attack.

Yes, the child likely feels pain at this point.

Pain meds are at the discretion of the doctor and often not used.

Most women choosing an abortion post 15 weeks have the same reasons as those choosing early abortion. That means there is rarely a medical need.

What about severe fetal anomaly?

1) The methods are brutal. Not compassionate for the child.

2) If you support euthanasia, don't hide it behind abortion.

3) Studies indicate better mental health outcomes for birthing rather than terminating.

What can we do to help? Research shows that many who choose later abortions are trying to find resources to support parenting their child. Connect women to Pregnancy Resource Centers, Nurse Family Partnership and other orgs that provide that support.

Research shows a dramatic benefit to women and their children, which extends to building better communities, when support is provided.

Abortion ends the life of a woman's child, but does nothing to address the circumstances that led her to that choice.

Research shows that most women denied an abortion do not regret that 5 years later. Circumstances change, but you can't bring a child back from death.

There is a mental health risk for those who choose abortion. Women deserve better.

If you're reading this and you've been hurt by abortion, you're not alone. There are free and non-judgmental resources available to help you heal.

The Women's Health Protection Act proposed by Senator Blumenthal overrides all state laws to enshrine unrestricted abortion access across the nation prior to viability, and generously post viability. Please contact your senator.
It begins with the lie that women's reproductive systems prohibit us from fully participating in economic & social life. Rather than accommodate our biology in these spaces, their "solution" is to expect us to sacrifice our children to bring our biology more in line with men's.

@Hope60833958 @c0norfarrell @leapsaw @covesa @LifeGaveyuLEMON So many common falsehoods to address.

1) A human being is ALWAYS a human being. That's not controversial. What you're describing is "personhood", which applies subjective standards (these vary significantly) a human must meet before attaining protection of their human rights.
@Hope60833958 @c0norfarrell @leapsaw @covesa @LifeGaveyuLEMON Often, as with abortion, personhood is defined to exclude a subgroup of humans those in power find less valuable in exchange for a personal benefit gained by that groups oppression.
@Hope60833958 @c0norfarrell @leapsaw @covesa @LifeGaveyuLEMON 2) It is not true that pro-life advocates stop caring about the mother or child after the child's birth. We support a variety of methods of support. As we're not a monolithic group (we agree on protecting humans before birth from harm, but vary widely on other isses),
