Strangford 2nd ferry and old quay as we set out for Portaferry
He's getting a great speed up today.
Not at the tricky part of this fast inlet.
Nearly there.
Portaferry where my paternal grandmother's parents are buried.
And Fr Hugh Mullan's gravestone simply records that he died serving his people in Ballymurphy.
You have to change your perspective of County Down. From Portaferry the Mournes are to the left of Strangford and the Dromara Hills to the right.
Soon to open: @PorticoArds
Soon to open: Portaferry Arms, Monday 24 May.
Lot of love going into renewing this wonderful boat and its well-looked after stead (an MF).
Thar she blows
Audleys Castle from the Ferry
Looking back at the windmill
Approaching Strangford
The island has loads of nesting birds, noisy!
Buff-tailed bumblebee on tufted phlox. Beacon of brightness #Strangford

As I traverse different rural parts of Co Down I notice the cracking views people have. Would be quite a collage or collection if they could be collated to promote the beauty of County Down. First view is from the top road in Dundrum across Shague Hill. Image
