The Lagos State CP Hakeem Odumosu, has embarked on multi-track diplomacy of conflict management to restore total peace to Mile 12, Gengere Community and Ketu areas of Lagos State following the resurface of the lingering crisis being experienced in the areas.
The police boss has taken a bold step to restrategise on the operational approaches to maintain peace and tranquility in the area as community leaders, CSOs and other interest groups have been involved in addressing the crisis which must be brought to a halt by all means.

CSP Yinka Egbeyemi, who delivered the peace message on behalf of the Commissioner of Police to the residents of the areas to embrace dialogue and peace truce in order to have relief in the places.
He emphasised on the need for the communities to team up and flush out the hoodlums who use their communities as the battlefield as the Command will not fold its arms and allow any act of lawlessness and criminality in the areas and within Lagos State in general.

The officers, led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, DCP Ahmed Kontangora and other members of the management team of the command, commenced their training and range practice today Saturday 22nd May, 2021 at a camp in the state.
The Commissioner of Police has therefore reiterated his commitment to adopt multi-faceted approach to enforce the law and maintain peace across the length and breath of Lagos State.

FLASH: The Lagos State Government has announced the night closure of Iju level crossing for repairs from 8:00pm on Sunday 23rd of May, to 6:00am of Monday, 24th May, 2021.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Transportation, the Commissioner, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde explained that the closure was necessary to repair the damaged rail track caused by an accident involving an articulated vehicle.
He stressed that repairs had to be made urgently to prevent accidents of the train running on the track, assuring that alternative routes have been made available during the temporary closure.
