They supposedly became engaged on the Caribbean island of Mustique.
The delay in saying 'I do' has been caused by:
🦠 A global pandemic
🏥 A spell in intensive care for Boris
🍼 The birth of their son, Wilfred
🎨 Loads of vital interior decorating
👑 The last, and only, Prime Minister to have married while in office did so exactly 200 years ago.
Robert Jenkinson, the Earl of Liverpool, wed Mary Chester, a domestic companion of his late first wife, at Hampton Court in 1822
🔔Will it be a “private family event” or a glamorous society affair? Designer or vintage? Will Johnson forget both his trousers and shoes, then lose his ring, like he did first time round? And who will pick up the tab? Let the speculation begin…
🎓If Dominic Raab doesn’t insist on being best man, that duty might fall to one of Johnson’s two best pals from the Bullingdon Club, Darius Guppy and Earl Spencer.
Johnson’s long-suffering personal trainer might make an appearance, and what about a wild card, like Donald Trump?
🤝 On the bride’s side, the women’s rights campaigner Nimco Ali, who is rumoured to be Wilfred's godmother, seems a fair bet to be among the bridesmaids.
Symonds’ parents are not together, but she is particularly close to her mother, Josephine McAffee
👪 It isn’t known whether Johnson’s older children (Lara, Milo, Cassia and Theodore, from his marriage to Marina Wheeler, and Stephanie, the daughter he had as the result of an affair while Mayor) will be attending, but Wilfred is sure to have a starring role
🇮🇹Chequers was the bolthole where the PM went to convalesce after his stint in ICU, so by now it could feel like a home from home.
A venue in Italy, where Symonds apparently has relatives, has also been floated, though the carbon footprint may be antithetical to her eco mission
👰 Symonds has long championed small British designers and eco-friendly fashion.
@BethanHolt says she could hire a designer wedding dress.
“She has a subscription to a site called My Wardrobe HQ, which has lots of very fancy dresses that could be wedding-worthy"
🎵 Appearing on Desert Island Discs the PM chose The Beatles and Van Morrison.
It’s unlikely Van Morrison, whose latest album contains a song called No More Lockdown, will volunteer their services.
Carrie’s music taste seems cheesier. She was spotted at the Abba musical in 2019
💍How do you think Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds's wedding will look?

Here's the latest on the global tech outage from reporter @matthfield:
Television channels, airports and banks around the world have been knocked offline in a massive outage causing Windows computers to suddenly shut down.
Sky News’s breakfast show was not on air on Friday morning, replaced by archive footage.
Downdetector, a website which monitors outages, reported sudden spikes in problems with websites including Microsoft applications, banking websites and airline apps.
On Ryanair’s website, the company urged passengers to arrive at airports three hours early blaming a “third party IT issue, which is outside Ryanair’s control and affect all airlines operating across the network”.

The first X was in fact an online bank he set up in the late 1990s - and its CEO was Peter Thiel. That company later became PayPal and was bought by eBay in 2002.
