A story about my character from the @CriticalRole #ESO rpg! Hoa Sen means "lotus flower" in Vietnamese. My mother's name is Hoa, and in my younger years I remember her telling neighbors her name was "Lily" because she felt bad they couldn't pronounce her name.1/4 
My mom & I butt heads a lot, and there's also a 99.9% chance she still doesn't understand what I do for a living, but probably when she was a refugee coming to the US during the war she didn't imagine her kid becoming a professional RPG player & wearing elf ears on camera 😅 2/4
It's a little selfish, but I wanted to name my character after my mom so more people would know how to say her name & she wouldn't have to be embarrassed anymore. It's pronounced HWAA, once syllable, breathy at the front. Thanks to the cast & crew at CR for taking 3/4
