The DG, @LASRABofficial, Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, stated that the approval is in line with the State Government’s resolve to strengthen and reposition the Agency saddled with the responsibility of permanent custody, regulation and control of records and archives of the LASG.
She disclosed that the Governor also approved the establishment of a Records Unit in every MDA of the State Government to pave way for more efficient and modern records management, proficiency in registry management as well as proper storage and archiving of records. #LASG
“With this latest approval, it means LASRAB will have its presence in various MDAs, with professional officers handling all official documents and records in line with global best practices. So members of the general public can expect to have better service delivery”, she added.
The DG said that in order to further establish the new State policy, there would be continuous training and skill enhancement for officers at all levels, to ensure a consistent and efficient service delivery as it concerns records and archives management in the State. #LASG
