Step 3 Twitch:
- Turn off links being able to be publicly shared in chat.
- Make it a community norm to send links to mods/VIPs before posting in chat (even if they are clips)
Step 4 Twitch:
- Understand when to use βsub-only mode.β Use this to PAUSE chat to make it easier for yourself and mods to handle
If you are being hate raided / etc turn on sub-only mode quickly with /Subscribers in chat
Step 5 Twitch: Follow Botted
- Turn off Follow Alert & Follow text in chat. Mark down the time of when it happened and remove it after streaming with @CommanderRoot
Step 1 Discord:
- Require an email to chat in server
(add more moderation if need be)
Step 2 Discord:
- Apply to be a Discord Community and set up membership screening
Step 3 Discord:
- Set up "roll required to chat" either from a #Rules channel or having Mod's add this roll to each member
There are more steps than just this if need be but these are the basics to keep you safe on this platform. As people respond to this tweet with other ideas I will update here.
Revised Step 2:
- Set up auto mod & add banned words
- Banned words: Any slurs you donβt want to see, any other language you don't want in chat
- Do Not add: your first & last name, your street address, phone number
