10 uber-useful features of Twitter you probably don't know about (or use).

++THREAD++
1. Advanced search.

Search based on topic, popular tweets, hashtags, minimum replies, date ranges, etc.

Advanced search interface: twitter.com/search-advanced.

For instance, my most popular tweets, use this search term: (from:SteveOnSpeed) min_faves:500.
2. Tweet analytics.

Use Twitter's built-in analytics system to find top-performing tweets.

Go to: analytics.twitter.com
Click on 'Tweets' at the top
Click 'Top Tweets' on the next page

GOLD.
3. Tweet-specific performance.

Want to know how many people viewed your profile *from a specific tweet*? Or, just how well a tweet did?

It's easy.

From Desktop, click the three dots at the top right. Then, 'View Tweet Analytics'.

Click 'View All Engagements'.
4. Schedule a tweet straight from Twitter.

Write your tweet. Then, click the calendar icon.

Choose when you'd like Twitter to send your tweet.

Click Confirm, then click the 'Schedule' button.
5. Change theme colors.

I like black and green as my Twitter interface.

On Desktop, click More on the left, then Display.
On Mobile, click the hamburger (three vertical lines), then 'Display and sound'.

Next, customize your colors as you like.
6. Switch to chronological feed.

By default, Twitter shows top tweets on your timeline. If you'd rather see tweets as they are posted (chronological), you can change it.

Click the Star in the upper right of the Twitter homepage.
Switch to latest Tweets.
7. Mute words.

Let's face it: Some content you don't want to see (Vaccine! Covid! etc).

Twitter lets you mute words to keep your timeline clean.

Settings > Privacy and Safety > Mute and block.

Click the Plus sign on Desktop or 'Add' on Mobile.
8. Bookmark great tweets.

Bookmarking is a great way to save tweets that inspire and motivate you.

To bookmark a tweet, click the 'Share' button underneath a tweet.
Then, click 'Bookmark' on Mobile, or 'Add Tweet to Bookmark' on Desktop.

Access Bookmarks from the menu.
9. Lists.

Lists are a GREAT way to organize content based on topic (or anything).

Click 'Lists' from the menu.
On Desktop, click 'New List' on the top right.
On Mobile, click 'New List' button.

Have fun.
10. Pin a tweet to your profile.

Pinning a successful tweet to your profile is a great way to highlight your best-performing tweets.

From Desktop, click the three dots at the top right.
Then, click 'Pin to your profile'.

Hint: Change your pinned tweet regularly.

35 uncomfortable facts about life that'll make you unstoppable (and unbelievably attractive), guaranteed.

1: The vast majority of millionaires are self-made.

2: Marrying late > Marrying wrong.

3: If you're easily offended, you have too much free time.
4: Marrying the right person is the greatest life hack.

5: Boasting about working 12-hour days isn’t a mark of productivity; it’s a sign of poor boundaries.

6: You have more opportunities today than anyone in history.
7: Money is attracted to people who work.

8: Work ethic *WILL* outperform natural ability throughout a career.

9: Most people are too self-absorbed to understand what they want.

10: Happiness is a choice.

Mark Cuban has nine rules for getting rich. Problem is three of them are bullshit. 👇
Rule 1: Live like a student (✅)

Students are forced to live frugally.

- no *new* cars
- no pricey vacations
- no yearly phone upgrades

Live like every dollar counts.

P.S. The used car market is insane right now. But, this phase will pass.
Rule 2: You shouldn't use credit cards (❌)

Hard disagree.

Yes, irresponsible spending on credit WILL create debt.

But, using credit cards in a smart way is one of the *best money hacks* in existence.

Most financial advice is complete bullshit.

Millionaires get rich because they know what to ignore. My net worth increased 6-figures *per year* once I ignored terrible advice.

Here are 17 of the worst pieces of advice you must ignore to get rich.
1: Carry a balance on your credit cards to improve your credit score.

I've never carried a balance in my life.

Not once.

This advice is downright criminal. Image
2: Your 9 to 5 won't make you rich.

I'm proof-positive that's a lie.

With proper money management skills, your 9-to-5 CAN MAKE YOU RICH.

It happens all the time.

I achieved FI at 35 after working a 14-year career.

From the moment I set foot in an office, I learned the hard way how f-ed up a lot of our society is.

Here are 12 uncomfortable facts about life I learned the hard way:
1. Risk builds wealth.

▫ Real estate
▫ Stock market
▫ Cryptocurrencies

Or:

▫ A new job
▫ Moving overseas
▫ Going back to school

To build wealth, put your money at risk.

To build character, put yourself at risk.
2. Happiness is a skill.

For 99% of us, we choose to be happy. Or angry. Or sad. It becomes a part of who we are.

We can't always control what happens to us, but we can control our reactions.

Choose to be happy.

If I had to do it all over again and my goal was to be a millionaire by 25, here's exactly what I would do.

1: Delete my Facebook account.

99% of FB is trash. Arguing and complaining about politics and posting pictures of that new overpriced car isn't getting anyone rich.
2: Go to college the smart way.

88% of millionaires have college degrees.

Community college for the first two years, then I'd transfer into a 4-year school (cheaper!). Major in something useful and marketable, like computer science, finance, accounting or business.

Automatic.
3: Max out my 401(k) and Roth IRA from day one.

401(k) max for 2022 is $20,500. Over the course of a 50-year career, that adds up to over $11 million assuming an 8% average rate of return.

Max Roth IRA is $6,000. That's another $3.4 million over 50 years.

Easy money.

I became a millionaire in my early 30s.

- No businesses
- No inheritances
- No lottery winnings

Here are 13 easy techniques I used to escape the rat race after a short 14-year career.
1. I chose a high-paying career.

My passion is photography. My strength is computer science. I ignored the STUPID "follow your passion" advice and instead pursued my strength.

Avg salary of a computer scientist is $109,000.

Your strengths pay the bills.
2. I learned from millionaires.

Instead of hating rich people, I observed their habits. I *actually* took notes.

Rich people are the best teachers if you're looking to build wealth. Watch them.

Learn, don't hate.
