Mark Cuban has nine rules for getting rich. Problem is three of them are bullshit. 👇 Rule 1: Live like a student (✅)

Students are forced to live frugally.

- no *new* cars
- no pricey vacations
- no yearly phone upgrades

Live like every dollar counts.

P.S. The used car market is insane right now. But, this phase will pass.

Most financial advice is complete bullshit.

Millionaires get rich because they know what to ignore. My net worth increased 6-figures *per year* once I ignored terrible advice.

Here are 17 of the worst pieces of advice you must ignore to get rich. 1: Carry a balance on your credit cards to improve your credit score.

I've never carried a balance in my life.

Not once.

This advice is downright criminal. Image

I achieved FI at 35 after working a 14-year career.

From the moment I set foot in an office, I learned the hard way how f-ed up a lot of our society is.

Here are 12 uncomfortable facts about life I learned the hard way: 1. Risk builds wealth.

▫ Real estate
▫ Stock market
▫ Cryptocurrencies

Or:

▫ A new job
▫ Moving overseas
▫ Going back to school

To build wealth, put your money at risk.

To build character, put yourself at risk.

If I had to do it all over again and my goal was to be a millionaire by 25, here's exactly what I would do.

1: Delete my Facebook account.

99% of FB is trash. Arguing and complaining about politics and posting pictures of that new overpriced car isn't getting anyone rich. 2: Go to college the smart way.

88% of millionaires have college degrees.

Community college for the first two years, then I'd transfer into a 4-year school (cheaper!). Major in something useful and marketable, like computer science, finance, accounting or business.

Automatic.

I became a millionaire in my early 30s.

- No businesses
- No inheritances
- No lottery winnings

Here are 13 easy techniques I used to escape the rat race after a short 14-year career. 1. I chose a high-paying career.

My passion is photography. My strength is computer science. I ignored the STUPID "follow your passion" advice and instead pursued my strength.

Avg salary of a computer scientist is $109,000.

Your strengths pay the bills.

If becoming a millionaire was just about the math, I suspect about 90% of us would be millionaires.

Most fail because they believe society's B.S. about getting rich.

Here are six lies that are keeping you poor. 1: Most millionaires inherit their wealth.

Bullshit.

- 88% of millionaires are self-made

- 70% of wealthy Americans grew up middle-class

- 3% of millionaires inherited more than a million

Millionaires do things the rest of us don't.

I've spoken with over a hundred millionaires about their habits, and here are 12 clear signs that you are destined to be one. 1: You invest 20% (or more) of your income.

Nobody got rich just by saving money alone.

And nobody got rich by spending it, either.

Investments build wealth.
Wealthy people are big-time investors.

I ended my career making almost $140K as a 35-year-old.

Here are 10 things I did to get there. 1: I asked for raises - a lot.

When I could back it up, I never hesitated to ask for more money.

I backed my argument up with:

- Tangible accomplishments
- Overtime hours, nights/weekends worked
- Positive customer feedback reports

Asked 5 times. They said yes 4 times. :)

I became financially free at 35.

No inheritance.
No businesses.
No lottery winnings.

If you want to build SERIOUS wealth in 2025 and set yourself up for an early and rich retirement, you need to understand these 13 unpopular facts. Image 1: Millionaires are self-made.

Yes, we all "get help." But, the vast majority don't just inherit our wealth (it's proven).

Rich people earn it.

▫ They start a business
▫ They invest in real estate
▫ They invent a new product

They provide value.

If you're not focusing on these 10 things by the time you're 30, you won't become a millionaire.

1: Money.

"But there's more to life than money!!!"

F*ck that.

A little focus on money now means a rich retirement later. Your family will thank you. 2: Health.

If you refuse to do moderate exercise at least three times a week, start putting extra money aside for your future healthcare bill.

Screw all the cardio. Lift weights.

You'll be stronger, more confident, and burn *more fat*.

I've hired hundreds in my career, and I knew after the first 5 minutes if the candidate had a chance.

Here are nine tips that will *instantly* separate you from everybody else that has nothing to do with your resume. 1: Dress like you're not a dropout.

It's stupid how often I've seen job candidates walk in with jeans or a T-shirt.

Before the interview begins, I've moved on. If you can't dress up for ONE HOUR for an interview, you're not working with me.

About 5% of my coworkers were top performers. They crushed it inside and outside of the office.

Most were millionaires, and I took notes.

I studied what they did.

They all had the same 12 characteristics that made them wildly successful people. 1: Positive

Successful people are relentlessly positive.

They expect things to go right, and more times than not, they do.

The Placebo Effect works.

20 things your multi-millionaire neighbor is hiding from you.

1: His circle of friends is a 10th of the size of yours. Quality > quantity.

2: She doesn't know (or care) who got voted off the island. 3: He doesn't need your money advice.

4: She's a millionaire because she majored in computer science, not medieval basket-weaving.

5: He sold that over-priced BMW years ago to someone who is $50,000 in credit card debt.

I hit $1,000,000 in net worth when I was 36 after working 14 years in technology.

Most of what you hear about millionaires is dead wrong.

Here are 14 lessons I learned about being a millionaire after becoming one. 1. They didn't inherit their wealth.

The assumption that most millionaires got lucky has been proven false repeatedly.

Only 21% of millionaires inherited money. Just 16% inherited over $100,000.

3% inherited a million.
