IT JUST TAKES ONE TO BRING US DOW
No one is immune
Many people have been deeply impressed with d writings of a man called Gordon MacDonald.
Billy Graham said of one of his books: "It struck me right between the eyes with conviction & I wish that I had read it
many years ago."
Another prominent Christian leader described him as "one of d most Godly men I have ever met."
He was d pastor of d largest church in New England & taught at seminaries. He became d president of d Intervarsity evangelistic organization, one of d biggest in America
Then it came out. A sin from a few years back was exposed, and MacDonald was forced to resign.
The sin was adultery. Celeste, his wife was so shocked she has never trusted him since, and it's been over 20 years.
He was forced to step down as president of Intervarsity.
It made most pastors & Christians alike aware of their own spiritual frailty. If this man, with all his much vaunted spiritual discipline, could fall so hard, then no-one was immune from danger, ever. More recently, MacDonald appeared on TV, & Do you know how the commentator
introduced him? "Gordon MacDonald, a leading pastor who was exposed after committing adultery. He ALMOST FROZE TO DEATH IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA.
After his fall from grace, Gordon MacDonald recalled an encounter with a friend that had taken place sometime before:
He said "My friend asked a strange question: "If Satan were to blow you out of the water," he asked, "how do you think he wld do it?" "I'm not sure I know, I answered. "All sorts of ways, I suppose; but I know there's one way he wouldn't get me"
"What's that?" asked his friend
"He'd never get me in the area of my personal relationships or infidelity, he bragged.
That's one place where I have no doubt that I'm as strong as you can get, i said." A few years after that conversation my world broke wide open he said.
A chain of seemingly innocent choices became destructive & it was my fault.Choice by choice by choice, each easier to make, each becoming gradually darker& then my world broke in d very area I had predicted I was safe& my world came down.
Let him dat thinks he stands, take heed.

A. A Holy God cannot tolerate sin. 1) One sin can make all d difference in the world.
a) It made a difference for Israel. (defeat)
b) It made a difference for Achan. (death)
c) It can make a difference for you. (damnation)
2) God does not "grade on curve," but on absolutes.
B. Sin is never purely private. 1) ISRAEL has sinned, THEY have stolen, THEY have lied.Josh 7:11
a) Yet Achan is only one to be revealed 2) One bad apple ruins the barrel.
a) Reason - toxic gas is given off, encouraging rot
b) Same in churches.
c) Unchecked sin by one person can pull everyone down.
3) Private sin off-limits? Not to God.
There is the story of a Lonely woman who met a widower in a church and had an affair She had no guilt or remorse.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the author of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries, loved practical jokes.
Once he sent a telegram to each of 12 friends.
All were men of great virtue and respected in society.
The telegram said, "Flee at once, your secret is discovered!"
Within 24 hours, the story goes, all twelve had left the country!
There may be some playful exaggeration here, but the
point is usually true that many people, including
Christians, are not what they seem to be.
James 1:15 "Then after our desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death."
SIN GROWS.
Sin always takes you further than you wanted to go.
Sin Cost you more than you want to pay,
Sin keep you longer than you want to stay.
I have often heard this in so many instances, "God No Go Shame Us..."
First thing first, God shames no one, and has never shamed anyone.
The only fellows or gang God ever public shamed was satan and his goons
Colossians 2v15 NIV
And having
disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.e (Col 2:15|NIV-)
Colossians 2:15 MSG
He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets
Colossians 2:15 AMP
[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].
It is not in God to shame anyone, rather, poor decisions, poor actions, poor
Man's years on earth became drastically reduced after the tower of Babel and it's attendant consequences.
Gen 11:9 MSG
That's how it came to be called Babel, because there God turned their language into "babble." From there God scattered them all over the world.
Genesis 11:10 This is the story of Shem. When Shem was 100 years old, he had Arphaxad. It was two years after the flood.
Genesis 11:11 After he had Arphaxad, he lived 600 more years and had other sons and daughters.
Genesis 11:12 When Arphaxad was thirty-five years old, he had
Shelah.
Genesis 11:13 After Arphaxad had Shelah, he lived 403 more years and had other sons and daughters.
Genesis 11:14 When Shelah was thirty years old, he had Eber.
Genesis 11:15 After Shelah had Eber, he lived 403 more years and had other sons and daughters.

How can @elrufai committee propose N385 as fuel pump ⛽ price, how?
These politicans don't just give 2 cents care about the citizens, while they continually live in ridiculous affluence.
If this is actualized, the impact on the ordinary NIGERIAN would be huge.
The impact
on transportation, food, manufacturing industries etc, would be insane.
It's not just about removal of fuel subsidy, but, of TRUST. When subsidy is removed, the fallout is shared amongst states and God alone knows what they do with the "windfall"
We barely see significant
improvements in the lives of NIGERIANS.
We have 4 moribund refineries just lying waste.
We are among the top 10 countries of the world with huge deposits of oil, yet, we import what we can easy produce locally.
Needless to say that this Government promised to get these
