Sanskrit is not just an ordinary human language but consists of sounds and vibrations of the cosmic mantras to govern every aspect of the universe. Sanskrit is said to be the language of Vedas and yoga that facilitates the awakening of higher awareness. The language was spoken
in ancient Bharat (India) and is one of the oldest languages that comprise sounds, syllables, and written communication and speech. It holds divinity and to date, all the auspicious Hindu customs follow the scriptures written in Sanskrit.
Several languages in the west have originated from the Sanskrit language. Thus, it is the mother of many languages around the globe. The origin of the Sanskrit language is still not known and therefore, it is called Sanatana (eternal), existed from the immemorial time period and
have remained a language of communication for many divinities.
It has 13 vowels, 25 consonants, 4 semi-vowels, 4 sibilants, and 2 diacritics. Each letter has a different pronunciation to soothe human vocal performance. While pronouncing a consonant the complete tongue is
contacted with a certain palate. Every letter is set out perfect mathematically. On the basis of Pronunciation, letters are divided into different groups.
There are 5 primary consonants groups that end with an Anunasik or Nasal sound (ङ ञ ण न म)
Kanthya : pronounced using throat and back of the tongue
क ख ग घ ङ
Talavya: Pronounced using tongue and hard palate
च छ ज झ ञ
Murdhanya: Pronounced using the upper front part of the palate and front of the tongue
ट ठ ड ढ ण
Dantya: pronounced using teeth and front part of the tongue
त थ द ध न
Oshtya: pronounced using lips
प फ ब भ म
There are 2 more groups - the semivowels and fricatives
य र ल व - the semi vowels are soft unlike consonants
श ष स ह - the Ushna or fricative sounds produce heat due to the excessive contact and hiss like action.

If you are a Shiv Bhakt, you must have practiced saying your prayers in the ears of Nandi Ji. Bhagwan Nandi Ji is one of the dearests and closest ones to Bhagwan Shiva. Outside every Shiv temple, we can see Nandi Ji patiently waiting for his Aradhya. The word Nandi comes from a

India has been the land of many globally renowned inventions such as Yoga, Ayurveda, Zero, etc. The country’s inventions are not just limited to arts, crafts, cuisines, science, and culture but sports too. You will be surprised to know many of the modern games which are
flourishing in other nations had their beginnings in India. One of the most ancient games that originated in India is Chess. Chaturanga is an ancient Indian strategy board game that predates chess. According to some researchers, chaturanga was first described in Bhavishya Purana.
The Sanskrit word "chaturanga" means 'four-limbed, referring to ancient army divisions of infantry, cavalry, elephantry, and chariot. The origin of chaturanga has been a puzzle for centuries. It has its origins in the Gupta Empire, with the earliest clear reference dating from
Brahmagupta was the foremost Indian mathematician of his time. He made advances in astronomy and most importantly in number systems including algorithms for square roots and the solution of quadratic equations. He gave remarkable formulae for the area of a cyclic quadrilateral
and the lengths of the diagonals in terms of the sides. The only debatable point here is that he does not state that the formulae are only true for cyclic quadrilaterals so some historians claim it to be an error while others claim that he meant the rules to apply only to cyclic
quadrilaterals. He was an Indian mathematician who worked in the 7th century and left (among many other discoveries) a generalization of Heron's formula. It is interesting to note that Heron's formula is an easy consequence of Brahmagupta. To see that suffice it to let one of the
The ancient scriptures have the mentioning of the jyotirlingas. There are twelve Primary Jyotirlingas in total. Somnath Temple is the foremost and the oldest Jyotirlinga mentioned in the Skanda Puran, Shreemad Bhagavad, Shiv Puran, and many more. The Somnath Temple, situated in
the Prabhas Kshetra near Veraval in Saurashtra, on the western coast of Gujarat, India, has its significance as the first Jyotirlinga. The temple located at the shore of the Arabian Sea has an ancient story associated with it. The moon god himself constructed the first temple.
The date of the establishment got lost in antiquity. The current structure of the temple got built in the year 1995. A 13th century Persian Geographer and traveler Zakariya al-Qazwini mentioned Somnath Temple in his book, “Wonders of Creation.”, the Somnath Jyotirlinga initially
Situated at the foot of Tiruvannamalai Hills and spread over 25 acre, Arunachaleswarar Temple is an imposing structure with a marvellous architecture. It boasts four gateway towers known as gopurams, each of which is encompassed with mandapams, shrines and enclosures, decorated
