@RexChapman As the plastic degrades, it gets smaller and smaller until it looks like really fine glitter and eventually it changes the composition of the ocean if the ratio is high enough.

If you're wondering about any Orange plastic pieces, birds will ingest them thinking they're shrimp.

@RexChapman Once the composition of the ocean water is changed to such a degree, fish that are swimming in it which ingest these plastic pieces, end up having high levels of BPA in them which renders them toxic to eat for humans.

@RexChapman BPA is such a dangerous chemical that it causes Cancer, Misscariages, Birth Defects, and even causes lobsters to change genders like this:
