Dated to Late Upper Palaeolithic Context ca. 9000-8000 BCE.
Located in the Son valley, near the base of the Kaimur escarpment, Dist. Siddhi, Madhya Pradesh. #worshipseries🌱

During final days of 1982 season, circular concentration of sandstone rubble found. #worshipseries🌱

forming low platform, varies from yellowish brown to reddish brown ellipsoidal or triangular concentric laminations (Appear to be limited to the Kaimur area)

At the same site there is a headless figurine of so called (as one informant told) "Angari Devi" (Goddess of Burning Coals).
Probably same as Angar Mati, worshipped by the Agaria, who was from the Indian community of iron smelters. #worshipseries🌱

Discovered central stone is similar to the current practices of tribal groups like Kol and Baiga (Dravidian affinity)-symbolic for the Mother Goddess Mai.
Present Shrine of Kerai-ki-Devi (1km NE of Baghor I site) is evident to worship of former shrine. #worshipseries🌱
