Ramesh Powar: It is not ideal but we are playing all three formats and we are thankful to BCCI. The mental aspect will make a huge difference.

Mithali Raj on Naomi Osaka boycotting PCs:

"It is tough to be in quarantine. I haven't thought about boycotting media. It is important for players and media to try and help to grow the sport. And I feel it is important to interact."

Mithali Raj on past relationship with Ramesh Powar:

"Can we move on from that? It has been 3 years. I think we need to move forward."

Ramesh Powar:

"I think it is an opportunity to take women's cricket forward. It has been a long time."

On jersey reveal ceremony:

Mithali Raj: We wanted to make the players feel special about the jersey. It is good to have, and there is excitement within the group. It is important to have an idea about what Test cricket means and how the past players have laid a platform.

Ramesh Powar on jersey ceremony : Whenever I have taken over a team, I have found a purpose of getting something like this done. I have done it with the Mumbai team as well. It is about finding that purpose to get going. Without purpose, you can't perform for long.

Ramesh Powar on Shafali Verma: Every player in this tour will make a different. Shafali is a special talent. We will explore the combinations that will help us win matches.

Ramesh Powar: It will depend on how she trains. We did something special with Prithvi Shaw in Vijay Hazare Trophy. And the aim is to do something similar with Shafali.

Ramesh Powar on conditions: It will be a challenge. For batters and bowlers. There are many things which we will go there and assess.
