OBS Studio 27.0 is finally here! This release includes undo/redo, source visibility transitions, display capture improvements, a missing file browser, track matte transitions, Wayland capture, and much more! Details in thread.

OBS Studio 27 brings one of our most-requested features: undo/redo support! Fixing your mistakes is now as easy as hitting Ctrl+Z (Cmd +Z on macOS). You can also redo an action with either Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z.
Another big feature introduced by this release is source visibility transitions! When you toggle a source’s visibility, you can now make it transition in and out of visibility using any type of transition that OBS supports, including stingers!
Speaking of transitions, this release introduces a brand new type of stinger transition called a track matte! Track matte stingers allow you to create transitions that show both the first scene and the second scene at the same time during the transition.
Standard stinger transitions typically require a frame that covers the whole screen in order to mask the cut between Scene A and Scene B. With track mattes, you can seamlessly show both scenes simultaneously during the transition.

A great quality-of-life feature in this release is a new “missing files” dialog. When you launch OBS, it now notifies you if it can’t find any of the media files associated with your sources, and gives you a helpful interface to find them again to repair your scene collection.
Big news for Linux users: OBS Studio 27.0 has been updated to better support Wayland desktop environments, including being able to capture windows and the display through PipeWire. We will be continuing to improve Wayland support as the platform matures. Screenshot of OBS Studio on Ubuntu Linux. Two new source typ
NVIDIA Noise Removal is now directly available as a Noise Suppression filter! Harness the power of your NVIDIA graphics card to improve the quality of your microphone.

MacOS and Linux users, we’ve added support for browser panels at last! Not only does this mean you can add custom browser docks, but you can also directly log in to your Twitch and Restream accounts with the “Connect Account” button.

(Not yet available under Wayland on Linux.)
Windows laptop users, we’ve added a brand new Display Capture mode that supports cross-GPU capture! This solves the dreaded “black screen” problem when capturing your display when OBS is set to run on the “wrong” GPU. (Requires Windows 10, 1903 or newer)
We’ve made some big changes under the hood, too: OBS now supports sRGB to improve color accuracy and prepare for further changes down the line.

We’ve worked hard to make this change as seamless as possible, but we recommend checking your video filters in case any need tweaking.
We’re enormously thankful to everyone who helped to design, develop, review, and test this release. It’s one of our biggest ever!

And extra special thanks to you who support the project financially -- OBS wouldn’t be here today without you! obsproject.com/contribute

First up, we’ve added native virtual camera output options for both macOS and Linux! Huge thanks to our volunteer developers who put in the time and energy into making these possible.
Note that on macOS, if you already have the original version of the virtual camera plugin from johnboiles, you may need to uninstall it first before using the built-in version of the plugin. See obsproject.com/forum/threads/… for details.
