The #1000TreeProject by swayyam.org was one of our first initiatives. The farmers’ collectives are embracing the principles of permaculture and agroecology to regenerate denuded farmlands in Yelachhati village. (3/12)

Human-animal conflicts will only grow with time. @cwsindia has been spearheading conservation initiatives and addressing these conflicts. Wild Shaale is a unique program designed for school children living around wildlife reserves @KrithiKaranth

Conservation of wild habitats is a pressing issue. @ncfindia is doing some amazing research to help design various conservation strategies and implement them in collaboration with local communities.

The inspiring @saytrees_ind and @kapil_saytrees are working on creating urban and rural forests by planting lakhs of trees to reduce our carbon footprint and restore green cover. (7/12)

Farmers for Forests is working on supporting farmers and creating green jobs. They also pioneered the radical payment-for-ecosystem-services model in #Maharashtra. The idea is to curb deforestation through direct cash transfers to farmers. (8/12)
