NOBODY BELIEVED THE STORY OF MY SCARS , WILL YOU ?
I have 10s of these scars and this is the story of these scars
Deepak and I grew up together . We were born in the same colony , went to the same school and were always together . I was 1 year elder to him but we were pretty much joined at the hip .
When we were around 10 , Deepak’s parents were expecting another kid .
I still remember the day Sneha was born . Deepak’s dad came to give us sweets in the morning and in the evening , they were sobbing at our house . Within few hours of birth , somebody had bitten off her finger . Yes , in the hospital . With everyone around
Somebody had cut off her finger . The teeth mark still fresh on her skin . But even that is not the strangest part . The strangest part of that she didn’t even cry . Not one cry of pain , not one tear . She was as calm as monk .
We then realized that she never
cried . Never . Not once . Ever since she was born .
But even that was not the strangest part . As she grew up , the things kept getting weirder . Deepak told me everything and he never lied .
One day me and my parents were on post dinner walk , we saw a figure
Crawling . I thought it was a cat . I tied to scare it away . It kept crawling . I went near it .
It was not a cat . It was Sneha . She had managed to crawl out of the house . We carried her back .
How could a baby of few months just crawl out of the house on its own ?
The house was locked , the windows were locked . How did she open the locks ? Impossible.
As she started to walk, we often found her walking miles away from home . She had no idea how she got there . All the kids in the colony were assigned shifts to keep an eye
For Sneha .
Deepak told me that he was scared of Sneha . Some time she kept staring at the walls for hours as if she was interacting with someone . She spoke incoherent words and made gestures at blank walls .
Everyday her arms has deep cut marks and
Scratches . Blood used to seep out but she never cried , never winced in pain . We asked who did it . She said it was that thing that she saw in the house . It was demon .
They took her to the psychiatrist. They said it could have been self harm to get attention .
Strange phenomenon happened in the neighborhood. Raw chicken and mutton started to disappear from the houses . We found crushed bones under Sneha bed. We told Deepak’s parents . They told us not to tell it to anyone .
Next dogs and cats started to disappear .
And their badly mutilated bodies were found around the neighborhood with blood sucked out of them . Deepak and I told everyone that we had seen a wild animal around which might hv come from the ridge .
Then uncle Shyam passed away in the neighborhood one night .
In the morning as they were preparing his body for cremation . They discovered his body was ravaged . Heart was torn out of his body .
Deepak and I found mass of skin and nerves under her bed . We told his parents .
After few days they told us that Sneha was not
Well and that she was being sent away to mental asylum and were not allowed to see her .
Deepak cried and cried . She was afraid of her but he also loved her .
His parents asked me to sleep in his room for that night to comfort him . My parents agreed .
We did not talk much that night and went to sleep .
I woke up with cry of pain . Someone was digging nails inside my skin , scratching me , blood oozing out . Scratching all over .
I opened my eyes . It was dark . My eyes tools few seconds to adjust to the darkness .
It was Deepak . It was not Deepak .
It was Deepak .
“ Deepak “ I shouted . “ what are you doing “
Deepak’s eyes were black . Pupil , sclera , Iris . Everything black . His nails were long and pointed , like that of an animal , his skin scared . He was smelling
Of blood . Pieces of rotten skin under his nails .
“ I am lala , the djinn of Feroz shah Kotla and I own this body of Deepak”
“ Deepak’s parents promised at feroz shah kotla that if I grant them boy as their first born , they will give me their second born and
Also hand me over their neighbors son , which is you “
They never kept their promise so I had to come here .
Sneha didn’t do any of those things , I did - living inside Deepak’s body .
Now they have handed over Sneha to me and told me that I can take you tonight .
That’s why they asked you to sleep here with me .
But I will spare you and take Deepak instead . That will be their punishment “
With that Deepak jumped inside the mirror on the wall and vanished . I heard a loud scream that pierced my ear drums .
That was the first and last time I heard cry of Sneha .

#WeMetOnTwitter . This is so wholesome, have to share this thread !
Rohan and Yamini met on twitter and it took them just under a year to move from DM to marriage . Both wanted to take more time before tying the knot but Yamini did not want to wait any longer to have kids .
She was adopted kid & although her parents bought her up like their own , Yamini wanted to have her own family , her own kids . Obsession to have kids overshadowed everything else in her life .
They had December wedding at Sultanpur farmhouse . One of 50,000 weddings that day.
It did not take them even a day to start trying for the baby . But soon they found out it was impossible for her to carry .
"One can cope with the grief of losing an entire family but how does one let go of their smell?"
Received this moving thread on coping with grief from some one who lost everything . Must read .
" Its been 2 weeks since i lost my husband and son in an accident .
Stoicism helped me get over the grief but how do I get over the smell of them? I can still smell them - the tangy, musk , romantic smell of my husband. The sweet, pure smell of my son . My therapist says that its my coping mechanism and eventually it will stop .
But she does not get it - I have a strange relationship with smell . The smells have shaped my entire personality . Lets start from the beginning .
I was one of those EWS kids . Those poor kids who get admitted into rich schools so the rich can think they have paid their dues
Those who grow up with little money when they do end up earning well are mostly generous with their money . They are the first one who offer to pick a tab , give generous gifts etc . I think the reason is that we don’t want to be labeled as misers . The scar of skipping
Outings because we can’t afford looms large . We were not misers , we just didn’t have money and now we over compensate .
The opposite side of spectrum are those who grew up with generational wealth . More and more of them I see as misers who can’t spend on others
And they can hide the fact that they are misers cause hey I drive Audi A6 so how I be cheap with money.
They are those who will turn up last when the bill has been paid and be like “Aree main de deta yaar - chalo next time .”
I guess it’s the upbringing - they grew up in an
The horrible secret Khan market is holding for the last 20 years ( a thread) -
You wander in the back lanes of khan market ,dressed in your finest Delhi fashion, eating in the aesthetic cafes , clicking pictures in old world book shops ; blissfully unaware of the horrible secret
that no one will tell you about . But they know - even the police knows for they never have witnessed a sight like this .
Lets start from the beginning - 20 years ago - infants started to disappear from khan market - like in broad daylight - from the prams in the shops
from the cars , from the streets. Imagine , the parents pushing the pram with the baby in it one minute and poof , the pram is empty the next minute ! Not empty actually - there was doll kept in place of babies.
The paanwalas know all the secrets of the city.
Always listen to their warnings . This may save your life ( a thread).
My friend Madhu who is an IAS officer came to know of this very niche theater in Delhi that is Adult only . No kids allowed ! A dream - right !!!.
She immediately told about it to her husband Alok. With their demanding careers they were struggling to manage both work and kids and it was putting a strain on their relationship .
" Can you imagine ; 2-3 hrs going out without any kids around . Not ours , not anyone else's !"
They got the tickets booked . One actually had to declare that they were not bringing any kids along while booking the tickets .
But Murphy's law - On the day of the show - the maid didn't show up and none of the friends were available . And their kids , Ayn (10) and Shruti(14)
Men and their weird requirments for marriage ( a thread)
My friend Nischal was looking for a girl to marry. The guy looked decent ,earned well, and had a matured head on his shoulder.Yet he could not find a girl even after almost a year.
All he said was that most girls did not agree to his conditions
" Conditions ,what conditions?" - I probed him.
" Is it certain looks ,certain career or worst,is it anything to do with dowry?"
No ,he said.None of these were factors. He just had two conditions -
1) She should sleep on her back at night maybe on the left BUT never on the right side ¬ even look at the right side while in bed. 2) Not drink water at night after going to bed
I told him in all probability everyone things he is very weird because this made no sense
