@aldiblanc came to our program as a PGY-3 after working tirelessly as a prelim resident at @hopkinssurgery.
She fit into our program and risked her life during the height of the COVID outbreak caring for the most marginalized patients of @The_BMC . 2/x

BUT Aldana is on year 3/7 of J1 visa that she has been unable to renew for fellowship due to multiple technicalities...
Including of the wording of the visa having to change from general surgery to surg oncology.

@StateDepartComs and @SecBlinken have the power to waive this semantic technicality and allow her to practice under her ALREADY EXISTING training visa she previously earned. 5/x
