IMPORTANT: Today, has been the worst day of the Biden presidency thus far. I’m not joking. Here’s a thread of all the terrible things that happened today and why they matter:
1: Joe Biden’s border patrol using using helicopter rotor wash to try to clear out activists. A Trumpian act by the Biden administration, helicopters should never be used to clear people.
2: Kamala Harris to migrants: "Do not come. Do not come. We will enforce our laws and secure our border.” What happened to seeking asylum?
3: President Biden's DOJ continuing to defend Trump in the defamation case that accuses him of raping journalist E. Jean Carroll.
4: Joe Biden supporting a unanimous decision by the Supreme Court that blocked immigrants in the U.S. on humanitarian grounds from getting permanent residency if they entered illegally. Again, what happened to asylum?

One more that I dug up:

ICE detainees are being "disappeared," according to a letter to @ICEgov from lawyers for NY immigrants
This broke yesterday but I didn’t see it until today: The Biden justice department will continue to exclude Puerto Ricans from disability payments.

It is day 100 of the Biden presidency. Whole Biden hasn’t been a progressive president. He does have a few accomplishments. Including:
-announcing he will withdraw all US troops from Afghanistan by September 11, 2021, the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
-Ending long term family detention
-issuing a policy that sharply limits the immigrants whom ICE officers can arrest at courthouses
-launching an "internal review to address the threat of domestic violent extremism within the Department of Homeland Security."
-consolidating Guantanamo Bay. 40 detainees will now be in two instead of three detention facilities.

It is day 100 of the Biden presidency. In 100 short days Biden has, unsurprisingly, not been a particularly progressive president. So here’s a list of every progressive thing that Biden could have done or every action that Biden took that was against a progressive agenda:
-Air Strikes in Syria
-Reopening previously closed “facilities” at the southern border
-sending more military equipment to American neighborhoods than Trump did.
-proposing a $753,000,000,000 Pentagon budget,
-not removing remove patent barriers on Covid-19 vaccines
-settling on a 25% corporate tax rate
-Not sanctioning MBS
-continuing to advance Trump's $23 billion arms deal for the UAE.
-considering "filling gaps" in the US-Mexico border wall.
-looking to extend a Trump era policy that bolsters mandatory minimum drug sentences.
